Elbit Systems won the tender to supply missile defense systems for the German Air Force's transport aircraft.

Elbit will supply the German company Airbus Defense and Space with J-Music infrared-guided missile defense systems for installation on Airbus A400M military transport aircraft worth $260 million (about 900 million shekels).

Elbit's Music-class systems are considered good protection against infrared-guided surface-to-air missiles, particularly man-portable air-defense systems.

Many military and civilian aircraft worldwide are equipped with similar systems created by Elbit.

It is known that France purchased the Durcam man-portable air-defense system for its presidential aircraft many years ago. They are in service on the air forces of the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, and other countries.

Report: Iran Secretly Acquires Boeing Jets from Cambodia

At least five Boeing 777 aircraft landed in Iran after switching off their transponders over Afghanistan. The planes departed from Cambodia.

Aviation experts say Mahan Air, linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, smuggled the jets. They were previously owned by Singapore Airlines, stored in Australia, and re-registered in Madagascar to bypass US and EU sanctions.
