On Monday April 13, 2026, from 2:30, the Myanmar Traditional ‘Thingyan’ Festival was held at Sunmoon University's flag display.
The event was organized by the Myanmar International Student Council to showcase the Myanmar festival and traditional culture.
The event consisted of various stages, including traditional Myanmar dances and songs, K-pop dances, and DJ performances.
A traditional Myanmar dessert 'Shwe Yin Aye' was also offered to refresh the students.
This event was not just a festival for Myanmar students, but a place of harmony where students of all nationalities could gather and enjoy.
This event went beyond just a festival and became a valuable time to pray for the happiness and peace of the members of Sunmoon as they look back on the old year and face a new year.

SMU announced that it held the "2026 International Student Employability Improvement Camp" for 2 nights and 3 days between April 5th to 7th at the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency Chungcheong Training Institute, as part of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ ‘Global Talent Employment Leading University Project’ to strengthen the domestic employability of international students.

This camp is an intensive program in which about 30 international students participated, it was composed of practical education, encompassing the entire process of job preparation, from understanding the Korean job market to job settings, document preparation, interview response, and settlement strategy after employment.

A participating student conveyed, “The mock interview and 1-minute self-introduction practice were particularly useful. By listening to training related to employment visas and settlement, I was able to establish employment and life plans in Korea more effectively.”
