Explanation of Configuration Files in CryEngine:
Developers create and/or customize 5 global graphics presets, which consist of sub-presets, and these sub-presets, in turn, consist of direct graphics settings.

In CryEngine, there are a total of 5 quality levels:
• Default
• 1 (Low)
• 2 (Medium)

Why can shadows be 'turned off' in Hunt: Showdown? It's quite simple - every game on CryEngine has a Default graphics quality level, which utilizes highly simplified settings. The issue lies in the fact that Crytek programmers did not bother to configure or lock this quality level for regular players use.

For settings customization, the engine offers 3 different configuration files:
• system.cfg (highest priority)
• user.cfg (high priority)
• game.cfg (standard priority)

Hunt: Showdown - Jesus Config V2

This configuration file reduces the game's graphics settings to the maximum legitimately obtainable limit. When using it, the shadows draw distance is lowered to approximately 18 meters.

V2: Useless parameters have been removed, and now the configuration file has minimal impact on performance.

To install, place the attached below system.cfg file in the game's root folder.

Restoring the bottom downloads bar in Google Chrome
With the release of the new browser version 119.0, users lost their ability to disable the new "download bubble" feature, as Google now forces users to switch to the new system.

The end of the world has not come yet, just follow our guide:
1) Completely close Google Chrome on your computer, close all its processes;

2) Open the directory with the installed Google Chrome and create a new shortcut for chrome.exe;

3) Go to the properties of the created shortcut, in the "Target" field, add 1 space character from the end of the string and type the following text: --disable-features=DownloadBubble;
Example of a finished string: "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=DownloadBubble

4) Save the changes, move the shortcut to a convenient location for you and launch Google Chrome through it.

Was it planned or not, in update 7.4.0, developers have leaked some information about the upcoming "Winter Event 2023".
Unfortunately, the information is quite superficial, without specific numbers, but it is more than enough to form an idea of the upcoming event 🧐

Remember the snowmen from the "Winter Event 2022"?
They will return to us this winter, but it's not that simple. Now, among the regular snowmen, snowmen-deceivers will appear on the map. The developers gave them the name "MrMarch," and their main task is to scare players who approach them.

MrMarch does not damage the player, and it can be destroyed.




"Christmas Snowball Fight"
This time, we're expecting a completely new mechanic - snowballs. Snowdrifts will appear all over the map, from which both survivors and maniacs will be able to take snowballs.

The number of carried snowballs is limited, but we don't have the exact number yet.

It won't be possible to use all the snowballs at once; there will be a guaranteed cooldown between throwing them.

If a survivor hits a maniac with a snowball, their aura will be revealed for a while. If a maniac hits a survivor with a snowball, they will damage the survivor.

[Fortnite] Set the LEGO mode before its release and surprise your friends! 👽

Step 1) Exit the game, but you can leave the Epic Games Launcher open;
Step 2) Download and run the attached program "Fortnite LEGO Lobby.exe"
Step 3) If everything went well, the program will say: "LEGO Mode installed!" - at this point, you can close the program and start the game.

NVIDIA, it's about time to part our ways!
Just a few hours ago, a modification was released that replaces DLSS Frame Generation with FSR Frame Generation 🤯

And what's so special about it? - You might ask...
This generation not only works better than NVIDIA's variation but also doesn't require a 4000 series graphics card (3000 series, 2000 series NVIDIA, integrated graphics, etc. all support it perfectly) 🥹

Let's go through the installation using Cyberpunk 2077 as an example:
1) Go to the page https://github.com/Nukem9/dlssg-to-fsr3/releases/tag/0.40 and download the dlssg-to-fsr3-0.41.zip archive;
2) Extract the files from the archive to a convenient location, you will see 6 different files;
3) Open DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks.reg, agreeing to the changes in the registry;
4) Navigate to the folder with installed Cyberpunk 2077, go to: "...\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64";
5) In this folder, you can find files like nvngx_dlss.dll - this means we are in the correct folder;
6) Move the files dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll and nvngx.dll from the extracted archive into this folder, on that step, we have installed the modification;
7) The final step is to adjust Windows settings, specifically, we need to open: "Settings -> System -> Display";
8) Scroll down in the display settings, find "Graphics settings" - open it;
9) Make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled on your computer (1st option), if it's not - enable it and restart your PC;
10) Launch Cyberpunk 2077 as usual, encounter an error message at startup related to the modification? - this means we did everything correctly, click OK;
11) Once in the game, we can enable both DLSS and frame generation (FSR anti-aliasing is NOT required).
