Happy 5th night of Chanukah.
Chanukah symbolizes light in the darkness. Jesus came to save His people from their sins.
"Let everyone who is thirsty come & drink of the water of life freely." Jesus said.
But the Jews demanded that He tell them who He was, and when He did, they took up stones to kill Him.
There is Jesus, the Shamash (Servant Candle). He wants to save you from Darkness.

Happy Pentecost 🌋
So this is the day that God descended on Mt Sinai in Exodus 19- and all of Israel had to appear before the LORD after purifying themselves, at the sound of the trumpet blast.
They were to meet with God face to face, but when the time came and they heard His law spoken with His own mouth and they saw the lightnings and the smoke and the thick darkness and the mountain quaking and heard the sound of the thunder and the trumpet continually blowing and getting louder and louder their hearts were filled with terror because of the sin within their own hearts and they were afraid, because they didn't want to leave their own life behind and walk into the burning white hot holiness of God's fiery presence. At least not yet. They were not yet ready to be done with their sin.

At least not yet. They were not yet ready to be done with their sin.
They begged God to have a person stand in for them and to speak face to face with God on their behalf for they knew that if they met with Him face to face now that they would surly die because of their sin in their heart and they would rather live for a bit longer.
God knew that yes they would die because sin was yet in their hearts. They didn't want all of Him even if it killed them. So they were not worthy and would in fact die if they entered His holy presence. He could not force Himself on them.
We see this in Jesus when He wept over the city of Jerusalem saying, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."

Jesus was and is the perfect mediator of God on the behalf of those who would come to God and He as God desires His perfect bride but He knows that His bride does not fully desire Him just as He is. She does not want all of Him just as He is. He loves her oh how He loves His bride, but she is not yet ready ...
He will not force her. He will serve Her and wash her as a servant, but she does not yet want Him fully. It hurts Him and He loves her the more.
Look at what Psalm 45 says about Jesus's return,
"Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him."

Remember that He is speaking this about all Israel.
Remember what Paul said,
"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all."

As you can see "the Israel of God" is made up of all those who will be the Bride of Christ.
On an individual basis all can come to God now and He greatly rejoices over them, but He longs for His whole Bride.

Pentecost is about the giving of the Holy Spirit. It is the consummation of the New Covenant marriage with God.
And there cannot be any sin.
Look at what it says in 1 John 3:9-10
"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother."
Look also at Romans 8:9-11
"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

This is clear.
One who has been born again cannot sin because the New Covenant marriage with God has been consummated and the seed of God (The Holy Spirit) has entered into His individual bride.
This is the fulfillment of Ezekiel 36:25-27 it is also the mystery of Ephesians 5:25-33.
It is in Hosea 2:18-20,
"And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD."

This is here now for the born again Christian but it has yet to be fully true for all of the Israel of God.
So God has given gifts to us so that we might endure and be more effective in reaching the lost sheep of the household of Israel. We are the body of Jesus Christ in the earth and God will bruise Satan under our feet. Amen.
