Big Update for Investors with Zerodha Accounts 🚨
To sell your shares, you no longer need to provide a Power of Attorney (PoA) or waste crucial time entering the CDSL TPIN/OTP.
Zerodha has introduced online Demat Debit Pledge Instruction (DDPI), which will replace the existing Power of Attorney (PoA) provided by the customer or CDSL TPIN/OTP authorization process.
In November 2022, SEBI introduced DDPI to enable brokers to debit securities from your demat account and deliver them to the exchange.
This will help prevent instances of misuse of POAs like debiting shares without selling trades or breaking POA clauses.

There is a fee of ₹100 +GST involved.
