CCI indicator is used to check the momentum in both bullish and bearish trends...it is basically the difference between the current price and the average price over a specific period.
Bullish trend: When the CCI crosses above the signal line that is a crossover...it indicates the beginning of a bullish trend...
Bearish trend: When the CCI crosses below the signal line..that is a crossdown...it indicates the beginning of a down trend....
It's use and value settings may vary ...as per a trader's syrategy.
Basically it gives you a b.uy or a s.ell signal a bit earlier than the MACD..
