SCORP in collaboration with SCOME plans to prepare a series of training sessions on topics related to mental health.

The sessions are 4 in total and will be given in a month interval.

Reknowned guests, Policy makers, Researchers will provide their insights.

🖋 Upon successful completion of at least the minimum required attendance, certificate will be issued.

We have prepped various topics we think suit better for medical students and we'd like you to vote on them:)

On 19 August 2003, a bomb attack on the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq, killed 22 humanitarian aid workers. Five years later, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution designating 19 August as World Humanitarian Day (WHD).

On 19 August, we come together to honour humanitarians around the world who strive to meet ever-growing global needs. No matter the hardship humanitarians venture into disaster-stricken regions, on the front lines of conflict to save and protect people in need.

Mental health counselling and therapy

👉SCORP Mental health team in collaboration with psychiatry residents and Tikur Anbessa OPD are planning to organize a free Mental health counselling and therapy session for medical students.

👉We know there are a lot of constraints, stigma and confidentiality issues involved in seeking medical support when it comes to mental health. Due to that we are going to make sure your anonymity is kept while recieving any form of help.

😇 A kind reminder about our tomorrow's grand blood donation campaign.

😇 Remember that we are doing this for mothers who are dying on their operation table, seeking blood during labor. We are also doing this for children who are suffering from cancer and need blood transfusions on a regular basis. Our brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers cannot undergo surgery because of a lack of blood.

😇 Let’s all try to donate and motivate others to donate too.
