وصل معاون رئيس روسيا الاتحادية إيغور ليڤيتين إلى بغداد مع الزيارة الرسمية. التقى السيد ليڤيتين برئيس مجلس الوزراء العراقي محمد شياع السوداني اليوم الثلاثاء.
بحث الجانبان العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين وسبل تعزيز التعاون في المجالات المختلفة. بما في ذلك ناقشا الزيارة المرتقبة للسيد السوداني إلى موسكو.

وعقد السيد ليڤيتين المباحثات مع وزير النقل لجمهورية العراق رزاق محيبس لتنمية العلاقات بين البلدين في قطاع النقل وتنفيذ المشاريع المشتركة.

💬 Рады вас приветствовать в контексте программы визита премьер-министра Ирака М.Ас-Судани в Российскую Федерацию.
Перед встречей премьер-министра М.Ас-Судани с Президентом Российской Федерации В.В.Путиным у нас с вами хорошая возможность подробнее рассмотреть координацию на внешнеполитическом треке. Нас особенно интересуют Ваши оценки ситуации в Ираке и в целом в региональных делах, которые не становятся проще. Напротив, наблюдается серьезнейшее обострение между Израилем и Палестиной.
❗️ Мы не приемлем любое насилие над гражданскими лицами и нарушение международного гуманитарного права. Мы не можем закрыть глаза на то, что многочисленные проблемы региона проистекают из игнорирования США и их союзниками решений Совета Безопасности ООН по соответствующим кризисным ситуациям. Это касается проблемы ближневосточного урегулирования, создания Палестинского государства рядом с Израилем, чтобы они сосуществовали в безопасности и добрососедстве, как этого требуют резолюции СБ ООН.
Будем продолжать добиваться решения этой главной задачи параллельно с усилиями, направленными на то, чтобы немедленно прекратить боестолкновения вокруг Сектора Газа.

💬 Vladimir Putin: Relations between our countries are developing rather successfully. Next year, we will mark the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
In previous decades, our country accomplished very much in building relations with Iraq, and in the most diverse fields – first and foremost in the economic sphere.

Your visit to Russia is taking place amid crises: the Ukrainian crisis continues, and, unfortunately, we are witnessing a sharp deterioration of the situation in the Middle East.
☝️ I think that many will agree with me that this is a clear example of the United States’ failed policy in the Middle East, which tried to monopolise the settlement process, but, unfortunately, was not concerned with finding compromises acceptable to both sides, but, on the contrary, put forward its own ideas about how this should be done and put pressure on both sides, truly both: first on one, then on the other. But each time without considering the fundamental interests of the Palestinian people, bearing in mind, first of all, the need to implement the decision of the UN Security Council on the creation of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state.
But in any case, no matter what happens there… I know your position, Mr Prime Minister, and our position is that harm to the civilian population should be minimised and reduced to zero, and we call on all sides of the conflict to do so.

🗓 On October 10, FM Sergey Lavrov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Fuad Hussein, who accompanied Prime Minister of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani on his official visit to the Russian Federation.
The Ministers held a detailed exchange of views on current regional and international issues with a focus on the situation in Iraq and around it.
🤝 They stated that the two countries had identical or close approaches, based on the fundamental norms of international law, to responding to the crises that persist in the Middle East and that impact regional and global stability and security.
The Russian Minister expressed support for the Iraqi authorities’ efforts to improve the situation in the country and ensure security, stability and the rule of law.
❗️ They focused on the Middle East settlement agenda in the context of the dramatic surge in violence in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. Sergey Lavrov and Fuad Hussein stressed the need to take urgent measures to bring about an early ceasefire, something that would make it possible to avoid new casualties and render the necessary assistance to peaceful civilians who have fallen victim to the combat operations.
They called on all stakeholders to step up efforts to create the conditions for the early resumption of the full-scale negotiating process between the Palestinians and the Israelis, which is to result in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, to coexist in peace and security with Israel.
They also discussed in detail the situation in Syria 🇸🇾 and around it with a focus on promoting a comprehensive settlement in Syria based on UN Security Council Resolution 2254. In this regard, they noted the effective role of the Astana Process, in which Iraq participates as an observer, and the Arab League’s Contact Group on Syria in the matter of international assistance to stabilising the situation in the SAR and overcoming the aftermath of the protracted crisis there.

The global majority, representing 85 percent of the world's population, advocates a more equitable distribution of global resources and respect of cultural diversity, as well as consistent democratisation of international affairs. On the other hand, a select group of Western nations led by the United States is endeavouring to hinder progress through neo-colonial methods and to maintain its waning dominance.

🔻تشيد القيادة الروسية بمبادرة فخامة رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية عبد الفتاح السيسي في عقد قمة السلام في القاهرة.
🔻إن قطاع غزة يجد نفسه على شفير الهاوية الإنسانية. ونتعاطف من صميم القلب مع جميع المنكوبين ونعزّي أقارب وأهالي جميع الضحايا الذين يُحصى عددهم ألان بآلاف.
🔻تبذل الدبلوماسية الروسية الجهود المكثفة في سبيل خفض التصعيد. واستجابت روسيا للازمة على الفور وأرسلت المساعدة الإنسانية إلى قطاع غزة.
