On March 17, following the referendum, the independent Republic of Crimea was declared, in which the city of Sevastopol enjoys a special status. On March 18, a solemn event took place where the Treaty on the Accession of the Republic of Crimea & the City of Sevastopol to the Russian Federation was signed.

🗓On March 20, 2003, the US & its allies launched an armed invasion of Iraq, which was done in violation of international law. The head of state, Saddam Hussein, was toppled & later executed, while the country was plunged into a years-long internal military & political conflict, from which it has not been able to fully recover to this day.

☝️ The other day, the Radio & Television Commission of Lithuania instructed local internet providers to block IP addresses with access to Russian television networks targeted by the unilateral EU sanctions. These acts of censorship are evidence of the Lithuanian authorities’ disregard for the people’s legitimate rights and interests, which were not imposed on Lithuania & its people but which they themselves formulated.

🗓 20 марта 2003 года в нарушение международного права США при поддержке союзников начали вторжение в Ирак. Указанная авантюра привела к полному разрушению государственности, военных, экономических и социальных основ Ирака, погрузив страну в многолетний внутренний военно-политический конфликт, полностью оправиться от которого она на может по сей день.
Результатом вторжения также стало свержение и последовавшая за этим казнь легитимного президента С.Хусейна, разрушение базовой инфраструктуры страны, серьёзное ухудшение состояния системы здравоохранения, рост преступности.
❗️ Примечательно, что ОМУ в итоге в Ираке обнаружено не было. В качестве оправданий своих преступных действий руководители участвовавших в военном вмешательстве стран называли неточности в сведениях разведслужб.
Согласно оценкам различных академических источников и НПО, число погибших насильственной смертью мирных жителей составило от 100 до 205 тыс. чел., непрямые потери среди гражданского населения - около 650 тыс. чел. (до 1,2 млн погибших согласно ряду независимых исследований). Количество иракских беженцев достигло 1,5 млн чел., внутренне перемещенных лиц - 2 млн чел. В настоящее время за чертой бедности проживают более 12 млн иракцев (около 30% населения).
Несмотря на накопленный внушительный массив информации о совершенных военнослужащими США и союзных им стран в Ираке военных преступлениями, подавляющее большинство виновных до сих пор не понесли ответственность.
❌ Большинство эпизодов даже не расследовались, в то время как уголовные дела возбуждались крайне редко.
☝️ Американская военная авантюра способствовала возникновению новых угроз региональной стабильности и безопасности, создало благоприятную почву для распространения идей терроризма и экстремизма, в результате которых весь мир стал свидетелем бесчинств ИГИЛ.

🔷 Американцы в условиях оккупации начали сотрудничать с теми, кого устраивало, что режим Саддама Хусейна свергнут.
🔷 В свое время Ирак превратился в горящую землю под ногами его американо-британских оккупантов.

بمناسبة مرور 20 عاما على بدء العملية العسكرية الأمريكية في العراق
قامت اللجنة الخاصة للأمم المتحدة (Unscom) ثم لجنة الأمم المتحدة للرصد والتحقق والتفتيش (UNMOVIC) على مدى 12 عاما بالبحث في العراق عن أسلحة الدمار الشامل البيولوجية والكيميائية وغيرها. وحينها أعلن البيت الأبيض عن وجود احتياطات مخفية. ونفت بغداد كل هذا.
واتهم وزير الخارجية الأمريكي كولن باول، خلال اجتماع لمجلس الأمن الدولي في فبراير 2003، القيادة العراقية بإنتاج أسلحة دمار شامل، وكدليل على ذلك أظهر أنبوب اختبار بمسحوق أبيض زعم أنه يحتوي على ناقل لعدوى الجمرة الخبيثة، عُثر عليه في العراق.
وقامت الولايات المتحدة، بدعم من حلفائها في 20 مارس 2003، بغزو مسلح للعراق في انتهاك للقانون الدولي، بذريعة ضرورة تصفية الأسلحة المزعومة. فماذا حدث للعراق، لرئيسه الشرعي، ولشعب هذا البلد ؟ تمت إطاحة رئيس الدولة صدام حسين، وثم جرى شنقه، وتورطت البلد في نزاع عسكري ـ سياسي داخلي طويل الأمد، الذي لم تستطع التعافي منه بالكامل ليومنا هذا.
بيد أن هذا لم يكن نزاعا داخليا طبيعيا الذي من شأنه أن يحدث في أي بلد، بين أي شعب بحكم عدد من الأسباب. كلا. لقد نشب هذا النزاع، أولا: أثناء احتلال الولايات المتحدة ودول أخرى في التحالف المناهض للعراق، للبلاد، وثانيا: أشعلته الدول الغربية بصورة مباشرة من دون أي سبب طبيعي.
وبالمحصلة، لم يتم العثور على أسلحة دمار شامل في العراق. لذلك لنعود إلى النقطة الأصلية: وكما قالوا في بغداد، لم تكن موجودة. وحاول قادة البلدان المشاركة في هذا الغزو، تبرير ممارساتهم الإجرامية، باستنادهم إلى معلومات غير دقيقة من أجهزة إستخباراتهم.
أريد أن أعيد الأذهان إلى أن الدول الغربية التي كانت جزءاً من التحالف ليس لها حدود مشتركة مع العراق - لا الولايات المتحدة ،ولا بريطانيا العظمى، ولا بولندا، ولا دول أخرى كثيرة.

جرت في مقر وزارة الخارجيَّة، اليوم الأحد المُوافق 2023/4/2، التوقيع على مشروع إتفاقيَّة إعفاء حامليّ جوازات السفر الدبلوماسيَّة والخدمة والخاصة من سمات الدخول بين حكومة جُمْهُوريَّة العراق وحكومة روسيا الإتحاديَّة، حيث وقع الإتفاقيَّة عن الجانب العراقيّ وكيل الوزارة للشُؤُون الإداريَّة والفنيَّة د. عبدالرحمن الحسيني، فيما وقعها عن الجانب الروسيّ سفير روسيا الإتحاديَّة لدى العراق السيد اليبروس كوتراشيف، وتأتي هذه الإتفاقيَّة ضمن رؤية وزارة الخارجيَّة لتعزيز مكانة جواز السفر العراقيّ ضمن المنهاج الوزاريّ للحكومة العراقيَّة.

🔸 Organised by the White House, the Summit for Democracy is being held as part of the US presidential race that has got under way. It will be yet another meeting in favour of a world system where Washington wants to play the central role, while the dissidents, as should be expected, will be branded as “undemocratic states.”
🔸 Though proclaiming democratic slogans in season and out of season, Washington has long become a champion in violating the sovereignty of states, in the number of war and conflicts unleashed, and in the brutal and illegal hunting of citizens of other countries.
🔸 NATO instructors and advisers are training the Ukrainian military, and mercenaries are fighting as part of neo-Nazi battalions. In an attempt to draw out the military confrontation as much as possible, they are not hiding their key goal, which is to defeat Russia on the battlefield and then dismember it.
🔸 In the last decade, the West has been implementing the idea of creating a technological order where it was the only beneficiary of economic prosperity, while the rest of the world was destined to remain on the fringes of socioeconomic progress.
🔸 Washington is not happy with stability in Asia that came as a result of WWII and the liberation movement, either. The US Indo-Pacific strategy is an attempt to create an Asian NATO.
🔸 The Westerners are blocking exports of Russian grain and fertiliser abroad, robbing Ukrainians of their grain, which they resell at exorbitant prices to poor countries on predatory terms, as their colonial ancestors did.
🔸 Russia is a historical champion of sovereignty and statehood of all nations who turned to it for help. Russia saved the United States at least twice, once during the Revolutionary War and then again during the Civil War.

#Trends
• Humanity is currently going through revolutionary changes. The formation of a more equitable multipolar world order is underway.
• The changes which are now taking place & which are generally favourable are nonetheless not welcomed by a number of states being used to the logic of global dominance & neocolonialism.
• Serious pressure is being put on the UN & other multilateral institutions the intended purpose of which, as platforms for harmonizing the interests of the leading powers, is artificially devalued.
• Russia does not consider itself to be an enemy of the West, is not isolating itself from the West and has no hostile intentions with regard to it; Russia hopes that in future the states belonging to the Western community will realize that their policy of confrontation and hegemonic ambitions lack prospects.
#Priorities
• Russia is striving towards a system of international relations that would guarantee reliable security, preservation of its cultural & civilizational identity, & equal opportunities for the development for all states.
• Russia consistently advocates strengthening the legal fundamentals of international relations, & faithfully complies with its international legal obligations.
#RegionalTracks
• The most important for the security, stability, territorial integrity & social & economic development of Russia, strengthening its position as one of the influential sovereign centres of world development and civilization is to ensure sustainable long-term good-neighbourly relations & to combine the strengths in various fields with the CIS member states.
• Russia aims at further strengthening the comprehensive partnership & the strategic cooperation with China.
• Russia will continue to build up a particularly privileged strategic partnership with India.
• Russia seeks to transform Eurasia into a continental common space of peace, stability, mutual trust, development & prosperity.
