🗓 On September 30, 1938, the heads of government of Germany, Italy, Great Britain and France met in Munich to sign an agreement on the transfer of the Sudetenland, an industrial region in Czechoslovakia where ethnic Germans made up 90 percent of the population, to Berlin. That shameful page in the history of Europe is widely known as the #MunichBetrayal.

• As a result, Czechoslovakia lost 38 percent of its territory. The most cynical part of the event was that its representatives were not even invited to the conference.

• The Munich Betrayal crowned the Western policy of appeasing the aggressor. Hoping to avoid a conflict with the Third Reich, they tried to satisfy its growing territorial claims at the expense of Eastern and Central European countries.

• The crisis in Czechoslovakia opened the door to the bloodiest conflict in the history of humanity and showed what behind-the-scenes intrigues and reliance on national egotism can lead to.

✅ The referendums have concluded and their results are well-known. The people have made their choice. Their decisive decision.

📜 Undoubtedly, it is their unalienable right, which is enshrined in Article 1 of the UN Charter – “the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples”.

✊🏻 There’s nothing more powerful than determination of millions of people, who share the same culture, religion, traditions and language to consider themselves a part of Russia. Whose ancestors lived in a unified state for centuries.

🔙 There’s nothing more powerful that the decision of these people to return to their true homeland.

• We call on the Kiev regime to immediately cease fire and all hostilities; to end the war it unleashed back in 2014 and return to the negotiating table.

• The choice of the people in Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson will not be discussed. The decision has been made, and Russia will not betray it.

• We will defend our land with all the forces and resources we have, and we will do everything we can to ensure the safety of our people.

• The West continued and continues looking for another chance to strike a blow at us, to weaken and break up Russia.

• The Western elites have remained the same colonisers. We have never agreed to and will never agree to such political nationalism and racism.
