⚡️Russia's MFA prepared and published report on the human rights situation in the US
❗️Despite the deep contradictions in American society, the US continues to assert itself a global leader in the field of human rights protection. At the same time, Washington is in no hurry to expand its international legal obligations in the field of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms.
Among violations of human rights and freedoms that were committed by the US:
❌ The conduct of all kinds of military operations in the territory of European and Middle Eastern states;
❌ Creation of secret prisons around the worldу;
❌ Implementation of extremely stringent migration policies in recent years.
These and others violations illustrate not only the dual nature of this country's position regarding human rights standards but also its approaches to international law as such.
The American authorities actively use the tactics of "fighting by proxy" against Russia and Russians. This is expressed in the direction of large‑scale military assistance to the Kiev regime and putting pressure on the US NATO allies so that they take similar measures.
👉 An overt pressure is being exerted on sovereign states, including through the use of human rights mechanisms, in an attempt to create a corresponding negative background around the Russian Federation and its allies and partners in the international arena.
Mentoring tone, partiality, full oblivion of the concept of sovereignty and one of the main and fundamental principles of international law enshrined in the UN Charter – non-interference in the internal affairs of states, lead to deep disappointment in those very "Western values" that "fascinated" other civilizations and societies during a century, bringing considerable political dividends to the West and the US itself.
☝️ Moreover, the human rights situation in the US itself is far from international standards in the field of protection of fundamental freedoms, which is becoming more and more obvious day after day

▪︎В ходе пребывания в Киеве 2 мая Министр иностранных дел Великобритании Д.Кэмерон отметился очередным провокационным заявлением, допустив использование ВСУ британских вооружений для нанесения ударов по территории России, в т.ч. за пределами зоны СВО.
▪︎Рассматриваем данное признание как подтверждение нарастающей непосредственной вовлеченности Соединенного Королевства в вооруженный конфликт на Украине.
▪︎Британское правительство упорно следует курсу на эскалацию и расширение географии военных действий.
▪︎Символично, что блиц-приезд Д.Кэмерона в Киев пришелся на десятую годовщину страшных событий в Доме профсоюзов в Одессе, когда приведенные Западом к власти в Киеве националисты и их подельники сожгли 48 невинных людей заживо и многих покалечили лишь за то, что те осмелились выразить свое несогласие с государственным переворотом, творившимся беспределом и в защиту русскоязычных.
▪︎Дав подконтрольному режиму Зеленского карт-бланш на использование британского оружия для террористических обстрелов российских городов в глубине нашей страны, в Лондоне, сбросив маски, подтвердили очевидное – остатки экономического и демографического потенциала Украины, территориального контроля, да и государственности этой страны будут использоваться исключительно в попытках военно-силового ослабления России.

🎙️Embassy comment on the provocative statements by David Cameron on the Ukrainian crisis
▪︎During his visit to Kiev on 2 May, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron made another provocative statement, allowing the use of British weapons by the Ukrainian armed forces to launch attacks on Russian territory, including outside the Special Military Operation zone.
▪︎We consider this confession as confirmation of the UK's increasing direct involvement in the armed conflict in Ukraine.
▪︎The UK Government is persistently pursuing a course of escalation and expansion of geography of military actions.
▪︎Raising the stakes in the proxy confrontation with Russia has become an end in itself for London. At the same time, it seems that the British establishment is not interested at all in getting to the bottom of the true causes of the conflict.
▪︎It is symbolic that David Cameron's “blitz visit” to Kiev came on the tenth anniversary of the terrible events in the Trade Unions House in Odessa, where the nationalists, brought to power in Kiev by the West, and their accomplices burned 48 innocent people alive.
▪︎Giving the Zelensky regime a carte blanche to use British weapons for terrorist shelling of Russian cities deep inside our country, London, having dropped its masks, confirmed the obvious – that the remnants of Ukraine's economic and demographic potential, territorial control as well as statehood will be used exclusively in attempts to militarily and forcefully weaken Russia.
☝️The British establishment cares little about the fate of civilians, as it was once in Odessa. In this context, it is no coincidence that our investigative bodies are getting evidence of the use by the Ukrainian armed forces of British-French missile weapons to shell peaceful city of Belgorod back in December 2023, long before David Cameron's current self-exposing statements.
❗For our part, we affirm that the UK’s prodding will only prolong the agony of the neo-Nazi regime entrenched in Kiev.

❗️On the human rights situation in the US (from Russia's MFA report)
Washington declares its commitment to upholding the principle of universality of fundamental human rights and freedom. In fact, the situation in the US is nowhere near the international standards:
🔻 A system-wide racism and police misconduct flourish;
🔻 National minorities find themselves victims of discrimination and social inequality;
🔻 The homeless issue remains outstanding;
🔻 Immigrants and prisoners, including those under age, face continuous oppression of their liberties;
🔻 Journalists do not feel safe and become victims of attacks;
🔻 The plans of the American Administration to close the Guantanamo special isolator remain unfulfilled.
Citizens' dissatisfaction with violations of voting rights only deepens the divide within American society. Alternative views are more often subject to censorship in mass and social media.
Numerous violations of human rights and freedoms remain in focus of the criticism coming from relevant international structures and non-governmental institutions.
The report of the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) published in November 2023 <...> notes the lack of positive moves in addressing significant deficiencies in the criminal legal system. There is a reference to serious violations of voting rights, of the rights to non-interference in private life, freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assemblies and associations.
👉 No one has been held accountable for the systematic human rights abuses committed in the secret detention system run by the CIA, including enforced disappearances, torture and other ill-treatment.
👉 The government's inability to protect people from constant gun violence continues to violate their rights, including the right to life, personal security and freedom from discrimination. In 2020, at least 44 thousand people died from gun violence.

❗️ On May 6, UK Ambassador to Russia Nigel Casey was summoned to the Foreign Ministry to be delivered a strong protest against the recent statement by British Foreign Secretary David Cameron in an interview with the Reuters news agency regarding Ukraine’s right to strike Russian territory using British weapons.
The Ministry firmly pointed out to Ambassador Casey that Cameron’s hostile outburst directly contradicts the British side’s earlier assurances during the transfer of long-range cruise missiles to the Kiev regime that they would under no circumstances be used to strike Russia’s territory. By doing so, the head of the Foreign Office disavowed this position and admitted his country was a de facto party to the conflict.
The ambassador was told that the Russian side considered Cameron’s words as evidence of a serious escalation and confirmation of London’s growing involvement in combat actions on Kiev’s side.
Nigel Casey was warned that any UK military facilities and equipment on Ukrainian territory and beyond could be hit as a response to Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory with British weapons.
☝️ The ambassador was urged to consider the inevitable disastrous repercussions of such hostile steps by London and to urgently refute in the strongest and most unequivocal manner the bellicose provocative statements by the head of the Foreign Office.

🗓5 мая в Великобритании состоялся автопробег, приуроченный к празднованию 79-й годовщины Победы в Великой Отечественной войне.
📍Для участия в памятной акции в Лондоне специально собрались российские соотечественники со всех уголков Англии.
📣Совершая многочисленные остановки, соотечественники делились воспоминаниями своих родственников о Великой Отечественной войне и рассказывали о подвиге солдат Красной Армии.
🇷🇺Автопробег со знаменами Победы и российскими флагами ознаменовался также исполнением песен военных лет и привлек внимание широкой общественности.

💬 В.В.Путин: В эти торжественные и ответственные минуты вступления в должность Президента хочу сердечно поблагодарить граждан России во всех регионах нашей страны, жителей наших исторических земель, отстоявших право быть вместе с Родиной.
Хочу поклониться нашим героям, участникам специальной военной операции, всем, кто сражается за Отечество.
Ещё раз благодарю вас за оказанное мне доверие и поддержку и сейчас обращаюсь к каждому гражданину России.

🌐 Мы были и будем открыты к укреплению добрых отношений со всеми странами, которые видят в России надёжного и честного партнёра. И это действительно Мировое большинство.
Мы не отказываемся от диалога с западными государствами. Выбор за ними: намерены ли они и дальше пытаться сдерживать развитие России, продолжать политику агрессии, непрекращающегося годами давления на нашу страну или же искать путь к сотрудничеству и миру.
Повторю: разговор, в том числе по вопросам безопасности, стратегической стабильности возможен. Но не с позиции силы, без всякого высокомерия, чванства и собственной исключительности, а только на равных, уважая интересы друг друга.
Вместе с партнёрами по евразийской интеграции, с другими суверенными центрами развития мы продолжим работу по формированию многополярного миропорядка, равной и неделимой системы безопасности.
В сложном мире, который стремительно меняется, мы должны быть самодостаточными и конкурентоспособными, открывать для России новые горизонты как уже не раз бывало в нашей истории.

💬 В.В.Путин: В эти торжественные и ответственные минуты вступления в должность Президента хочу сердечно поблагодарить граждан России во всех регионах нашей страны, жителей наших исторических земель, отстоявших право быть вместе с Родиной.
Хочу поклониться нашим героям, участникам специальной военной операции, всем, кто сражается за Отечество.
Ещё раз благодарю вас за оказанное мне доверие и поддержку и сейчас обращаюсь к каждому гражданину России.

🌐 Мы были и будем открыты к укреплению добрых отношений со всеми странами, которые видят в России надёжного и честного партнёра. И это действительно Мировое большинство.
Мы не отказываемся от диалога с западными государствами. Выбор за ними: намерены ли они и дальше пытаться сдерживать развитие России, продолжать политику агрессии, непрекращающегося годами давления на нашу страну или же искать путь к сотрудничеству и миру.
Повторю: разговор, в том числе по вопросам безопасности, стратегической стабильности возможен. Но не с позиции силы, без всякого высокомерия, чванства и собственной исключительности, а только на равных, уважая интересы друг друга.
Вместе с партнёрами по евразийской интеграции, с другими суверенными центрами развития мы продолжим работу по формированию многополярного миропорядка, равной и неделимой системы безопасности.
В сложном мире, который стремительно меняется, мы должны быть самодостаточными и конкурентоспособными, открывать для России новые горизонты как уже не раз бывало в нашей истории.

☝️ Мы уверенно смотрим вперёд, планируем своё будущее, намечаем и уже реализуем новые проекты и программы, которые призваны сделать наше развитие ещё более динамичным, еще более мощным.
Мы единый и великий народ и вместе преодолеем все преграды, воплотим в жизнь всё задуманное. Вместе победим!
