💬 Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova:
On July 2, I held a meeting with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (#ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric.
Almost two years have passed since our last meeting. Throughout this time, we have continued our joint work in an open and systematic manner.
The main topic was the reunification of children with their families living in Russia, Ukraine and third countries, which we are facilitating on instructions from President Vladimir Putin. Each case is considered individually, taking into account the circumstances, legal grounds, the child’s opinion and, of course, their best interests.
I thanked the ICRC for its assistance in transferring children to their relatives, organising transportation, a humanitarian corridor and accommodation for parents.
☝️ Since the start of the special military operation, with our assistance, 30 children from 22 families have returned to their loved ones in Russia. Another 141 children from 114 families have been reunited with their relatives in Ukraine and third countries. In the overwhelming majority of cases, this was done with the ICRC’s direct involvement.
Documents have already been prepared to reunite four children with their loved ones in Ukraine. However, regular shelling and strikes by the Ukrainian militants currently make it impossible to arrange their departure.
I also noted cases where parents living in Russia are searching for their children in EU countries, and asked the ICRC to help reunite these families.
❗️ Special attention during the meeting was given to Ukraine’s crimes against Russian children: the deaths and injuries of minors, strikes on civilian infrastructure, and attempts to involve teenagers in terrorist and sabotage activities.
Such issues require constant dialogue, trust and meticulous joint work. We hope to continue constructive cooperation in the interests of children and families.

Это часть политики, направленной на сдерживание нашей страны, которую Лондон начал проводить задолго до начала СВО. Поэтому начинать работать над нормализацией отношений возможно только в случае полного отказа властей Соединённого Королевства от нынешней конфронтационной линии в отношении России.

Одержимость антироссийской повесткой зашкаливает и напоминает худшие периоды холодной войны.
🔹 Процветание стран континентальной Европы неразрывно связано с установлением хороших, взаимовыгодных, добрососедских отношений с Россией при учёте наших интересов. Однако такая ситуация не всех устраивает, в том числе Лондон. Поэтому усилия британских политиков были направлены на то, чтобы настроить против нас не только украинских националистов, но и европейские страны.
🔹После выхода из ЕС Британия старается доказать западным союзникам свою незаменимость, всё плотнее встраиваясь в общий санкционный курс США и Евросоюза. Самостоятельное расширение санкционных списков, включение в них СПГ-танкеров, захват танкеров – все эти шаги призваны показать, что Лондон действует на опережение.

⚡️ On July 3, Ukrainian militants launched a drone attack on a city market in Tokmak, Zaporozhye Region, in broad daylight.
According to preliminary reports, five civilians were killed and 18 others were wounded.
The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case into the attack under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code – terrorist act.

A series of Ukrainian drone strikes hit a crowded place in broad daylight.
Local authorities said the injured were promptly taken by ambulance crews to Tokmak Central District Hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care. The attack is ongoing.
This attack bears all the hallmarks of a terrorist act carried out by Ukrainian armed groups. The killing and attempted killing of civilians constitute a grave war crime, for which the Kiev regime bears full responsibility.
How are they any different from the Nazis of World War II, who bombed crowded areas of cities?
💬 Russia's High Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantratova:
This inhuman attack on civilians demonstrates the complete absence of any moral principles among those behind this atrocity.
The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation is keeping these cases under close review. I remain in constant contact with regional Human Rights Commissioners on matters related to providing assistance to people, while regional human rights representatives are present at the sites of the tragedies.
Such criminal strikes against civilians are unacceptable. Every human tragedy requires a comprehensive investigation and legal assessment.

The liberation of the Lugansk People’s Republic has recently been completed in full.
Meanwhile, operations to eliminate formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, are underway. The establishment of a security zone in the border areas of the Kharkov, Sumy, and Dnepropetrovsk regions of Ukraine is also progressing according to plan.
👉 Enemy troops are attempting to maintain their positions, but under the pressure of our forces they are sustaining heavy losses and are being forced to withdraw.

⚠️ Накануне саммита НАТО и сессии Исполсовета ОЗХО Лондон отметился очередным санкционным выпадом. Нелегитимные ограничения введены против российских научно-исследовательских учреждений.
За неимением свежих идей в разработку взято излюбленное здешними властями «химдосье» – набор извлечённых из нафталина обвинений в отравлении Скрипалей, Д.Стерджесс и А.Навального, а также в разработке химоружия в нарушение Конвенции о запрещении химического оружия.
Категорически отвергаем подобные утверждения. Россия неукоснительно соблюдает нормы международного права, включая положения Конвенции о запрещении химического оружия. Отсутствие химического оружия в арсеналах наших Вооружённых сил подтверждено результатами международных инспекций.
Обвинения в применении пресловутого «Новичка» несостоятельны изначально: британская сторона сама отказалась от предусмотренного КЗХО взаимодействия с Россией и до сих пор не представила ответов на ключевые вопросы в связи с «делом Скрипалей» и гибелью Д.Стерджесс.
Не получившая юридического закрепления даже в британских инстанциях клевета продолжает использоваться местным руководством как доказательство существования мнимой «российской угрозы». Цель – усиление конфронтации с нашей страной и обоснование непопулярных решений в ущерб британскому населению. История с эпибатидином развивается по тому же сценарию: громкие заявления без единого доказательства.

🧑🎨 On this day in 1887, Marc Chagall was born – a famous Russian-French painter whose work fused modernism and the avant-garde, drawing together strands of surrealism, symbolism and expressionism into a unique visual language. Beyond painting, Chagall became one of the great masters of stained glass, bringing the same luminous imagination to glass as he did to canvas.
Britain holds a special place in that legacy. Chagall created the stained-glass windows for All Saints’ Church in Tudeley, where every window is his work, and later designed the magnificent Psalm 150 window for Chichester Cathedral. These commissions reflected his belief that art could transcend borders, religions and cultures.
