🇷🇺 11 июня в резиденции Посла Российской Федерации в Лондоне состоялся торжественный приём по случаю Дня России.
Его посетили главы и сотрудники дипломатических миссий дружественных государств СНГ, Азии, Африки, Ближнего Востока и Латинской Америки, представители расположенных в Лондоне международных организаций, британских политических и деловых кругов, общественных объединений и СМИ, а также российские соотечественники.
В своём выступлении Посол Андрей Келин отметил, что Россия, опираясь на богатое историческое наследие, единство народа и приверженность традиционным ценностям, уверенно преодолевает современные вызовы и последовательно отстаивает собственные интересы и суверенитет.
Характеризуя российско-британские отношения, Посол подчеркнул, что их неудовлетворительное состояние обусловлено исключительно избранным Лондоном курсом на конфронтацию с нашей страной. Указал на сохраняющийся потенциал для конструктивного диалога, если руководство Британии пересмотрит свою политику в отношении России.
В ходе приёма, прошедшего в тёплой и дружеской атмосфере, гости имели уникальную возможность ознакомиться с коллекцией русской живописи и скульптуры, представленной в старинном здании резиденции, и отведать традиционные блюда отечественной кухни.

Годами мы предупреждали об опасности курса, который проводил Запад, игнорируя законные интересы нашей страны. Прямо объясняли, к чему это приведёт. Нас не слышали – или не хотели слышать. Плоды своей политики сегодня пожинает вся Европа. Мы, со своей стороны, защищаем то, что не подлежит обсуждению: право на безопасность, суверенитет и собственный путь развития. Россия преодолевала испытания и куда более тяжёлые – преодолеет и это. На своих условиях и с достоинством.

🎶 Russia-UK relations span more than five centuries — a mosaic of great clashes, shifting alliances, and small but telling moments that rarely make the history books. This is one of them.
In 1893, the University of Cambridge celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of its Musical Society, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky — the great Russian composer, author of seven symphonies, ten operas, and three ballets — was invited to receive an honorary Doctor of Music degree.
The occasion brought together some of Europe’s most celebrated composers, including Camille Saint-Saëns, Max Bruch, and Arrigo Boito. During his visit, Tchaikovsky conducted the first performance in England of his symphonic fantasy Francesca da Rimini.
Before the ceremony, Florence Maitland, wife of the distinguished legal historian and Cambridge professor Frederic Maitland, with whom Tchaikovsky was staying during his visit to Cambridge, took this famous photograph of the composer in his doctoral robes (shown here in a colourised version).

By supplying weapons to the Kiev regime and controlling the use of these weapons, especially long-range systems, Western governments are becoming accomplices in crimes that violate the norms of international humanitarian law.
I ask you not to ignore the facts of complicity in ongoing war crimes, to publicly condemn them, and to call on the international community to make a fair and objective assessment of what has happened.

✍️ The Russian and Belarusian Ministries of Foreign Affairs have released a joint report titled Human Rights Situation in Certain Countries. Among the nations covered is the United Kingdom, where the report points to a number of areas of concern:
Intolerance and hate-related violence: Rising religious and ethnic hostility, including antisemitism and Islamophobia, as well as broader patterns of hate crimes affecting minority communities.
Law enforcement and civil liberties: Expansion of police powers and increasingly restrictive public order and counter-terrorism frameworks, alongside concerns about the policing of protests and limits on freedom of assembly and expression.
Migration and asylum: Issues related to detention regimes, deportation practices, and the treatment of asylum seekers and irregular migrants.
Social rights and institutional protection: Shortcomings in safeguarding children’s rights, the impact of poverty and inadequate social protection on vulnerable groups, and persistent problems in prison conditions.
Surveillance and privacy: Expansion of state surveillance, raising concerns about privacy rights and proportionality of state interference.

💬 Europeans are making erroneous conclusions that Russia is now losing, while Ukraine is winning. Consequently, they believe that it is possible to present ultimatums in the hope that Russia will accept them.
These illusory expectations with worthless goals were confirmed during a visit by British, French and German ambassadors to the Russian Foreign Ministry. Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin spoke with them. They said nothing new but are insistently trying to offer their services, clearly unwilling to stay away from this process.
We remain committed to agreements reached on 15 August 2025 in Alaska. We are expecting that the position, coordinated on the basis of the US proposal, will be implemented.
Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov has announced that we are expecting the US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to pay another visit in the foreseeable future. We hope that they will tell us how the United States is planning to implement agreements which are completely based on their proposal.

Местная пресса продолжает лихорадочно вбрасывать откровенно абсурдные сюжеты, чтобы подпитать в общественном сознании фобии о «вездесущей» российской угрозе.
Очередной пример – «эксклюзивные расследования» о причастности «кого-то из России» к поджогам имущества британского премьер-министра, раздуванию антимигрантских настроений и другим «гибридным» операциям. Всё это, по версии авторов, якобы курировал 23-летний студент из России через Telegram. Чистый бред, если вдуматься.
Очевидно, что британские журналисты переживают творческий кризис, раз вопреки профессиональному долгу игнорируют заявление Королевской прокурорской службы по этому делу. А она указала на отсутствие в правонарушениях признаков политической и идеологической мотивации.
Вместо этого репортёры охотно подхватывают «спущенные» им из местных спецслужб антироссийские агитки и цинично спекулируют на тревогах рядовых британцев на фоне роста преступности, неконтролируемой миграции и экономических проблем.
