💬 Russian MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova:

Following the terrorist attack perpetrated by the Kiev regime aimed at civilians in Sevastopol, the UN Secretariat responded by stating the following: “As always we aspire to putting an end to war in line with the UN Charter and the resolutions of the General Assembly.”

This sounds more as a confession of one’s uselessness, rather than a comment on a tragedy. Basically, they could have just said “we stand for everything good and oppose everything bad” once and for all and use this phrasing regardless of the matter in question.

It would have been a different matter if the UN Secretariat fulfilled its technical functions without getting into politics. It is totally the opposite! For many years all statements and actions of the Secretariat regarding Ukraine have been totally politicised and without exception of anti-Russian nature.

Since you started playing on the political field, would you be so kind as to notice civilians on a beach being targeted & murdered by the Kiev regime using US weapons, and condemn this act of terrorism?!

⚡️ Comment by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the Kiev regime’s recurrent terrorist attacks on Energodar

💬 On June 19 and 21 the Kiev regime launched new terrorist attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles against Energodar satellite city in the vicinity of Zaporozhskaya nuclear power plant (ZNPP) where its personnel and their families live.

☝️ This is not for the first time that the Zelensky’s regime vividly demonstrates its terrorist nature and complete disregard of peaceful nuclear facilities’ safety <...>.

Since the ZNPP was reunited with the Russian nuclear family, our country has been exerting much effort to create not only proper work conditions for the plant’s personnel but to raise the socio-economic level of life in Energodar and restore the relevant infrastructure. We do everything necessary to ensure that the people who live there have everything they need and are protected against criminal provocations by the Kiev junta.

In addition to the physical threat created by regular shelling, the ZNPP personnel and their families, including children, are subject to constant psychological pressure. They receive letters from Ukrainian special services containing threats to their lives and health. It seems that the Kiev regime is not going to abandon its policy of threats and emotionally draining blackmail against the ZNPP staff.

The systemic nature of the Kiev regime’s attacks both on the ZNPP and other Russian power engineering facilities shows an established and purposeful trend of inflicting an inacceptable damage to the Russian Federation economy and creating risks of technogenic accidents that may jeopardise nuclear safety on the entire European continent.

This way the Kiev regime continues to prove its terrorist nature.

❗️ Considering the inability of the Zelensky’s regime to negotiate, our country will take all necessary measures to make it impossible for it to deliver such strikes.

🎙️Russian Embassy comment on false allegations regarding Russia in UK media

︎Recent insinuations by British media attempting to link criminal actors operating in cyberspace to the Russian state are false, groundless and unjustifiable.

︎Russia, being itself a target for continuous cyberattacks, including from Western Europe, has staunchly supported coherent law enforcement action across the globe in this sensitive domain.

☝️We were the first country to propose the development of a universal UN-led mechanism focused on cybercrimes.

Regrettably, the UK has chosen to refrain from bilateral and multilateral cooperation in this field with Russia - to the benefit of the criminals.

⚡️ Statement by FMs of Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa

Key points:

✍️ We, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan:

• Express concern with the persistence of a number of seats of instability in the Middle East and North Africa, where the situation is characterised by the lack of proper regulation of armed conflicts and consolidation of negative trends in the economy

• We are in favour of dealing with all the existing internal and interstate conflicts and differences in the Middle East and North Africa by diplomatic methods via a political dialogue and with support from the UN and the key regional organisations and in full conformity with the basic norms of international law.

• We are expressing profound concern with the current escalation in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. We condemn the killing of dozens of thousand civilians, and call for an immediate end to combat operations.

• We reaffirm the conviction that it is possible to stabilise the situation solely by finding a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian problem on the well-known international legal basis that includes the UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions, as well as the Arab Peace Initiative, and implies the creation of a Palestinian state within the June 4, 1967 borders with the capital in East Jerusalem.

• We reaffirm our steadfast and invariable commitment to sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and condemn any actions posing a threat thereto. We underscore the need for the cessation of any foreign military presence in that country, which violates international law.

• We note the importance of putting an immediate end to the armed confrontation in the Sudan. We express conviction that any differences should be settled at the negotiating table.

NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg soured Zelensky’s mood by saying that Ukraine would only join NATO after it secured victory over Russia.

The Alliance clearly understands – both collectively and personally, just as Jens Stoltenberg does – that this will not come about, that Russia won’t be defeated. In other words, Kiev’s perennial efforts to join NATO have cost Ukraine its life.

Mr Stoltenberg will never admit this. But then, a day may come when their cynicism, Russophobia and disdainful attitude not only to Ukraine but also to all Slavic nations will force them to admit this. One day they will admit why they began this gamble.

#Sanctions

Today any country can lose its sovereign assets kept in the West if the United States and its client countries become displeased with that country’s domestic or foreign policy for any reason. Everyone can see that Washington, Brussels, London and their associates are expanding restrictions under far-fetched pretexts. <...>

Not surprisingly, Western currencies and reserve instruments are becoming increasingly toxic, and Western economies are rapidly losing their competitiveness and attraction for foreign assets. <...>

It is the price they will pay for stealing others’ assets, for geopolitical scheming and harassment, for interfering in others’ affairs with the use of illegal instruments, such as sanctions.

🥇 On June 24, 1945 — 79 years ago — Moscow’s Red Square hosted the first Victory Parade to mark the victory over Nazi Germany and the triumph of the entire Soviet nation.

The official ceremony involved combined regiments from all fronts, the Navy, military academies and schools, as well as units of the Moscow Garrison.

🕙 The parade began at 10 am sharp and lasted for over two hours. Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky commanded the parade, with Deputy Supreme Commander in Chief – Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov taking the parade.

In all, 12 combined regiments were deployed ahead of this history-making event. Each regiment consisted of over 1'000 most distinguished service personnel, including Heroes of the Soviet Union and holders of the Order of Glory.

🇷🇺 Parade columns consisted of nearly 40'000 service personnel, including infantry, cavalry, artillery, armour and mechanised units. They were deployed in the same order as fronts on the map of the Soviet Union.

As the Kremlin Chimes started ringing, Marshal Georgy Zhukov exited the Spasskaya Tower Gate, riding a white horse. Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky sitting on a black horse approached him and reported that everything was ready for the parade.

At the same time, a brass band comprising 1'400 musicians deployed in the square’s central section and performed the patriotic song Glory to You, My Russia by Mikhail Glinka. The marshals inspected the troops and greeted the participants. After that, Marshal Zhukov mounted the rostrum of the Lenin Mausoleum and delivered an official speech.

On June 24, 1945, about 40'000 service personnel marched through Red Square, and about 1'850 pieces of military equipment rolled past. At the end of the parade, 200 banners of defeated German forces were thrown to the ground in front of the Lenin Mausoleum.

The parade ended at noon to the sounds of a march played by a combined brass band of the Moscow Garrison. In all, the parade involved 24 marshals, 249 generals, 2'536 other officers, as well as 31'116 sergeants and soldiers.

🏅 At the end of Victory celebrations, a banner depicting the Order of Victory appeared in the sky.

❗️ Foreign Ministry statement on the terrorist attack at Sevastopol

On June 23, the Kiev regime, with support from the US and its satellites, committed yet another heinous terrorist crime against civilians in Russia by firing missiles at Sevastopol. For their terrorist attack, they specially chose a day – Holy Trinity Sunday – one of the most important holidays celebrated by the Russian Orthodox Church.

◼️ Four people were killed, including a two-year-old boy, who was playing on the municipal beach, and a nine-year-old girl. 151 people applied for medical assistance; 82 – 55 adults and 27 children – were hospitalised, many of them in a grave condition. All patients are receiving skilled medical aid.

According to the Defence Ministry of Russia, the attackers used US ATACMS operational missiles with cluster warheads for greater kill ability. All flight data was entered by US military crews based on US reconnaissance satellite inputs. A Global Hawk US reconnaissance drone was on duty off Crimea.

The Investigative Committee of Russia has promptly started an investigation into this crime. All those implicated in this and other terrorist attacks in the territory of the Russian Federation will incur inevitable punishment.

There is no doubt that the United States is involved in this ominous crime. <...> A response to this crime will inevitably follow.

☝️ The Western capitals continue to criminally hush up the Zelensky regime’s barbarous actions. There are no denouncements from international organisations either. The Russian Federation is again urging them to give a proper assessment to yet another outrage perpetrated by the Kiev regime and the West.

Russia expresses its sincere gratitude for the condolences conveyed by officials from friendly states and by members of the European and US public. The words of commiseration continue to come in.

🕯 We commiserate with Sevastopol, where a day of mourning has been announced today. We express condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wish an early recovery to the wounded.

⚡️On the summoning of the US Ambassador to Russia Lynne Tracy to the Russian Foreign Ministry

🗓 On June 24, US Ambassador to Russia Lynne Tracy was summoned to the Foreign Ministry, where she was presented with a demarche in connection with a new bloody crime committed by the Kiev regime, patronised and armed by Washington, which launched a well-targeted missile attack on civilians in Sevastopol that led to numerous casualties, including among children.

It was stressed that the US was conducting a hybrid war against Russia and supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the most advanced weapons, including ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads used against Sevastopol residents, which actually made the US a party to the conflict. Moreover, the targeting and flight data entry is performed by US military crews and therefore the US shares equal responsibility with the Kiev regime for this outrage.

❗️ The ambassador was told that Washington’s actions of this sort, including its permission to fire at targets in the Russian hinterland, actions that were aimed at encouraging the pro-Nazi authorities in Ukraine to continue hostilities “until the last Ukrainian,” would not be left unpunished.

Retaliatory measures are certain to follow.

🎙 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s opening remarks during expanded-format talks with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Aleinik (Minsk, June 24, 2024)

💬 Sergey Lavrov: It is always a pleasure to be among friends on the hospitable Belarusian land in Minsk.

In addition to excellent conditions for joint work (we have a lot on our agenda), Minsk offers excellent opportunity to communicate with old acquaintances and comrades as well.

Thank you for expressing condolences in connection with yesterday’s terrorist attack in Sevastopol. There was another terrorist attack with casualties in Dagestan. The relevant competent authorities are doing their best to swiftly identify the perpetrators and those who ordered the attack.

We have no doubt that the United States and its Ukrainian underlings are involved in it. The weapons supplied by Washington to the Ukrainian regime were used in the attack. These weapons cannot be used without the direct involvement of the US military, including their satellite capabilities.

You have emphasised the importance of preserving historical memory no matter what. This applies to the terrorist threat which does not subside on the ground, including with regard to our respective countries, and the memory of the Great Patriotic War, which has come under attack from numerous angles. Attempts are being made to rewrite history, and to equate the victor and the aggressor. Monuments are being torn down, and Nazi criminals are being glorified.

Key talking points:

• During the recent “summit on peace in Ukraine” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shouted out Nazi slogans, and no one, including “neutral” Swiss hosts, dared to call him to order.

• Our interaction is more valuable than ever given the circumstances. In recent years, it has reached unprecedented heights.

• This is my third trip to Minsk and our sixth meeting this year. We know there will be more this year. I appreciate the invitation to attend the second Minsk Conference on Eurasian Security, which will be held on October 31-November 1. We will definitely be there.

🇷🇺🇨🇬 On June 24, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad of the Republic of the Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso.

The participants discussed pressing issues of promoting traditionally friendly Russian-Congolese relations, such as:

👉 building up mutually beneficial partnership in trade, the economy and investment,

👉 implementing lucrative joint energy projects, building infrastructure facilities,

👉 developing mineral resources in the Republic of the Congo.

In this context, they noted the importance of a meeting of the Russian-Congolese Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Trade scheduled to be held in September. Concurrently, the Ministers also noted that interaction in education and humanitarian contacts was steadily expanding.

🤝 The Ministers emphasised Moscow and Brazzaville’s unwavering commitment to deepening the political dialogue and close alignment of the two countries’ principled approaches at the United Nations and other multilateral venues, including with regard to the situation around Ukraine in the context of the efforts to form a multipolar international order.
