❤️‍🔥🌱 «Garden of Memory» in Singapore

On May 7, 2025, the “Garden of Memory” campaign took place at the Embassy of Russia in Singapore, marking the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

An Araucaria tree was planted on the Embassy grounds. This evergreen coniferous tree will serve as a symbol of the undying memory of the heroic generation who gave their lives for peace and freedom.

Russian Ambassador to Singapore Nikolay Kudashev, his spouse Elena Kudasheva, Metropolitan Sergius of Singapore and Southeast Asia, Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Bishop Pitirim of Jakarta, Vicar of the Singapore Diocese, as well as Russian compatriots, Embassy personnel, and their families took part in the commemorative event.

In his welcoming address, Ambassador Kudashev stated:

“This Victory is Great because it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Great because it is unique. Great because it continues to inspire those who keep vigil, who carry on the fight against Nazism, the struggle of light against darkness, in order to prevent humanity from being plunged into the abyss of evil and despair.

The memory of this remarkable day, the Day of the Great Victory, must be preserved, and it is our duty to pass it on to future generations. Planting this tree is our humble contribution to the relay of remembrance.”

The “Garden of Memory” is an international campaign held annually around the world, including by Russian diplomatic missions, in memory of all those who perished during the Great Patriotic War.

🔥🌱 Акция «Сад памяти» в Сингапуре

7 мая 2025 г. в Посольстве России в Сингапуре прошла акция «Сад памяти», приуроченная к 80-летию Победы в Великой Отечественной войне.

На территории дипмиссии была посажена Араукария. Это вечнозеленое хвойное дерево станет символом неувядающей памяти о подвиге поколения победителей, отдавших свои жизни за мир и свободу.

В мероприятии приняли участие Посол России в Сингапуре Н.Р.Кудашев с супругой, Патриарший Экзарх Юго-Восточной Азии митрополит Сингапурский и Юго-Восточно-Азиатский Сергий, викарий Сингапурской епархии епископ Джакартский Питирим, соотечественники, сотрудники Посольства и члены их семей.

В своем приветственном слове Посол Н.Р.Кудашев отметил:

«Эта Победа Великая потому, что она символизирует победу добра над злом. Великая потому, что она неповторима. Великая потому, что она продолжает воодушевлять людей, которые несут свою боевую вахту, продолжают борьбу с нацизмом, борьбу света с тьмой, чтобы не дать ввергнуть человечество в пучину зла и отчаяния.

Память об этом замечательно дне, Дне Великой Победы, должна сохраниться, и наша обязанность – передать ее грядущим поколениям. Посадка этого дерева и будет нашим скромным вкладом в эстафету памяти».

«Сад памяти» - международная акция, которая проводится ежегодно во всем мире, в том числе российскими загранучреждениями, в память о всех погибших в годы Великой Отечественной войны.

On May 7, 2025, a solemn reception to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Russian Embassy in Singapore. Representatives of Singapore's public and business circles, Ambassadors and diplomats from foreign missions of the partner countries, and Russian compatriots took part in this event.
In his welcoming address, Ambassador Nikolay Kudashev noted:

“It is a great day because it marks the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, humanism and compassion over the most inhumane ideology and practice – fascism.

The Victory’s triumphant march goes on, leaving to us – the grateful descendants – the memory of the heroic feat of the Soviet soldier, who bore the brunt of the war on his shoulders and, sparing no sacrifice, brought peace and hope to humanity.

This day continues to inspire those who today wage an uncompromising struggle against attempts to revive Nazism – with its claims of superiority, and its drive to doom humanity to grief and suffering in pursuit of dominance.

It is within our power to prevent such scenario. We present the concept of pan-continental Eurasia security framework – equal and indivisible – along with the vision of a Greater Eurasian Partnership, one that meets the economic aspirations of nations on the basis of mutual benefit, not predatory competition.”

Artist Artur Kirillov presented songs "Victory Day" and "Dark Night” in his professional performance.

Guests of the reception also had the opportunity to view the photo exhibition "Immortal Feat" prepared by TASS agency. Well-known melodies from the Soviet war films played in the background, adding to the atmosphere.

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 7 мая 2025 г. в Посольстве России в Сингапуре состоялся торжественный прием, посвященный 80-й годовщине Победы в Великой Отечественной войне, в котором приняли участие представители сингапурских общественных и деловых кругов, руководители и сотрудники дипмиссий дружественных стран, российские соотечественники.

С приветственным словом к гостям обратился Посол России в Сингапуре Н.Р.Кудашев:

«Это великий день, поскольку знаменует собой победу света над тьмой, добра над злом, гуманизма и человеколюбия над самой бесчеловечной идеологией и практикой – фашизмом.
Победа продолжит свое триумфальное шествие, оставляя нам, благодарным потомкам, память о подвиге советского солдата, который вынес на своих плечах львиную долю тягот войны и, не постояв за ценой, подарил человечеству мир и надежду.
Этот день по-прежнему вдохновляет тех, кто и сегодня ведет бескомпромиссный бой с попытками возродить нацизм с его претензией на исключительность, обречь человечество на горе и страдания в качестве единственного способа добиться господства.
В наших силах не дать такому сценарию сбыться. Делаем это и мы, предлагая концепцию панконтинентальной Евразийской безопасности, равной и неделимой, а также видение Большого Евразийского партнерства, которое сложит экономические запросы народов на принципах взаимной выгоды, а не хищнической конкуренции».

Прозвучали песни «День Победы» и «Темная ночь» в профессиональном исполнении артиста Артура Кириллова.

Гостям приема была представлена фото-выставка «Их подвиг бессмертен», подготовленная ТАСС. Фоном играли известные мелодии из советских кинофильмов о войне.
