🎙 Statement by Mr. Andrei Belousov, Deputy Head of the Russian Delegation at Closing Meeting of the 10th NPT Review Conference
💬 The Conference has become a political hostage to those States that over the last four weeks have been poisoning discussions with their politicized, biased, groundless and false statements with regard to Ukraine.
☝️ Thus, they did everything they could to prevent a constructive, effective and result-oriented work of the Conference and as a whole of the NPT States Parties during the entire review process.
❗️These States, namely Ukraine and the backers of the Kiev regime, bear full responsibility for the absence of a final positive result of this review.

💬 Embassy's comment
The Embassy has noted the article "Battle against disinformation, influence bids" by Lim Min Zhang and Hariz Baharudin published in "The Sunday Times" on August 28, 2022.
The article contains accusations against Russia of allegedly carrying out disinformation campaigns targeted at the populations of Europe, US and former Soviet republics. The authors refer to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's speech at the National Day Rally where he urged Singaporeans to be skeptical of what they read on social media, especially messages that may carry narratives not aligned with Singapore's national interests.
We think that disinformation is tackled through providing objective information in the first place. Unfortunately, in Singapore's case we cannot see this principle of mass media coverage being implemented since local newspapers reprint Western narratives and ignore Russia's standpoint. In our opinion, Singaporean readers could shape a more balanced view on the international political issues if Russia's stance, including its position on the situation in Ukraine, were to be fully covered in local mass media based on the Russian official sources.

The Embassy has taken note of the article “Six months into war, Ukrainians yearn for a normal life” by Ashwini Devare published in “The Straits Times” on August 27, 2022.
Besides traditional disinformation that has become regular on the pages of the local news outlets, this piece contains blatant lies of Oleksandra Vasylenko, special envoy on humanitarian assistance to Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In an interview to the ST she made unsubstantiated claims that “Russian troops are deliberately targeting civilians” and “Russians focusing on destroying <…> heating systems and energy grids”. The Russian Side has stated multiple times that it never targets civilian infrastructure and destroys only military objectives, while Ukrainian armed groups tend to locate their personnel and weaponry in the near vicinity of public housing and inside civilian buildings such as hospitals, schools, theaters, etc.
Moreover, Russia is actively assisting the people of Donbass and of liberated areas with humanitarian aid, more than 60000 tons of which has been delivered since February 2022.
The Embassy has taken note of the article “Six months into war, Ukrainians yearn for a normal life” by Ashwini Devare published in “The Straits Times” on August 27, 2022.

While we do not question the professional qualities of the author as a psychiatrist, the value of his academic findings seems to be greatly diminished by the examples he has decided to choose for some reason.
The Russian Side has stated multiple times that its armed forces never target civilians. All the claims about alleged “war crimes” are utterly false, all the “proofs” are fabricated by the Ukrainian intelligence services and disseminated by the Western propaganda machine.
Taking into consideration the humanitarian and liberating nature of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the shallow parallels drawn by the author between current situation and the Nazis’ crimes against Jews in Poland are, to put it mildly, inappropriate.
We strongly advise those who have no idea about the real reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine and Donbass to take into account Russia’s official statements on this topic.

Накануне начала нового учебного года информируем, что в Луганской и Донецкой народных республиках, а также в Запорожской, Херсонской и Харьковской областях 1 сентября 2022 года открывают свои двери 1422 школы для 326 тысяч 438 учащихся.
Для безусловного обеспечения безопасности учеников и преподавателей, Минобороны России опубликованы и направлены в ООН, международным гуманитарным организациям, а также руководству Украины адреса и точные данные местоположения всех начинающих работу 1 сентября 2022 года школ в ДНР И ЛНР, а также в Запорожской, Херсонской и Харьковской областях.
❗️ Требуем от Организации Объединенных Наций, всего международного сообщества принятия эффективных мер для недопущения обстрелов школ киевским режимом и гарантированного исключения данных объектов и прилегающих к ним территорий от поражения огневыми средствами вооруженных сил и других военизированных формирований Украины.

On September 1, 2022, the Embassy of Russia in Singapore hosted a briefing by Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Agricultural Policy Department Mr Armen Harutyunyan, during which he spoke about the progress achieved by the Eurasian Economic Union over the past ten years and also highlighted the agenda of the organization in South-East Asia. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps from the ASEAN and CIS member countries, as well as Russian business in Singapore. A lively discussion after the speech has demonstrated an increased interest in the topic of Eurasian integration in the SEA region.

❗️ On September 5, at 10:50 am Kabul time, an unidentified terrorist activated an explosive device in the direct vicinity of the entrance to the Consular Department of the Russian Embassy in Kabul. The explosion killed two employees of the diplomatic mission; there are casualties among citizens of Afghanistan as well.
The Russian Embassy is in close contact with Afghanistan’s security services, which are conducting an investigation.
