🎙 President of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in the plenary session of the Russia Calling! Forum (December 7, 2023)
💬 You know that the global system of economic relations is going through radical, irreversible changes, as we have just heard, which is due to the fact that a multipolar model is about to replace yesterday’s globalisation model. <...> This change in the global economic landscape and the rise of new leaders are an objective and to a large degree predictable process.
Western elites are trying to contain growth artificially in what they regard as the global periphery, which they have traditionally exploited and used as a resource, as a source of [economic] rent and simply as a colony. To attain this goal, they use sanctions, for example, exacerbating the political situation and provoking conflicts in whole macro-regions in an attempt to maintain their slipping domination.
☝️ Despite any external pressure, rebuffing, pounding on the table, whispering in the ear, there are people who are leaders of countries, and powerful countries at that, who do not succumb to this pressure and are guided primarily by their own national interests, and they fit into the model that we offer for development.
***
🇷🇺 Russia is Europe’s largest economy and is now ahead of all the leading EU countries in terms of growth rates. Moreover, the so-called essential non-commodity industries are accounting for an increasing share in the structure of Russia’s economic growth.
We are interested in making our market open and competitive. This is the key to development, a stimulus for the qualitative growth of domestic businesses and the entire Russian economy.

But all this hype cannot cancel the immutable fact that it has always been profitable to work with Russia and in Russia; it is profitable today and will remain profitable.

🇷🇺🇮🇷 The Kremlin hosted talks between President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, who arrived in Russia on a working visit.
💬 President Putin: Our relations are developing very well. Please convey my best wishes to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei. Thanks to his support, we have gained good momentum over the past year.
📈 Last year, trade grew by 20 percent and achieved good results: somewhere over five billion – we reached five billion.
We have large infrastructure projects. We were discussing for a long time, and now we have come to the practical construction of the North-South railway.
We, of course, traditionally work in the energy sector and in education: we have a significant number of Iranian students studying here. In general, there are pretty active efforts in almost all areas.
🌐 And of course, it is very important for us to exchange views on the situation in the region, especially the situation in Palestine.

❗️Sanctions hit Russian economy in a better state than most major Western nations
🎙President Vladimir Putin at the Russia Calling! Investment Forum:
💬By the end of the year, GDP growth is expected to reach 3.5 percent – at least, we are all counting on that. You will agree with me – everyone here is well-versed in this field – that this is a good indicator for the Russian economy.
You know, you can waste your breath as much as you want, making slogans and threats – let this be up to those Western politicians who intend to cancel Russia. But all this hype cannot cancel the immutable fact that it has always been profitable to work with Russia and in Russia.
📈From the beginning of March 2022, to this November, the number of foreign companies in Russia, I would like to draw your attention to this, despite all the pressure from the political elite in the West, the number of foreign entities, business entities operating in Russia, has not decreased. Can you imagine? I was surprised to discover this myself when I was looking at the materials. It has increased.

Russia Calling! Investment Forum
Vladimir Putin took part in the plenary session of the Russia Calling! forum.
⚡ Address of the chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to the UN, international parliamentary organisations, and parliaments of the world
💬 The chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation hereby address the United Nations Organisation, international parliamentary organisations, and the parliaments of the world regarding the existing evidence of systematic and brutal crimes that defy every conceivable norm of morality and ethics committed by the armed formations of Ukraine against children who are the most vulnerable and unprotected part of the population.
The main reasons minors are becoming victims are
🔻 the mass use by the Kiev-controlled armed formations of indiscriminate weapons, firearms, and light weapons,
🔻 use of cluster and phosphorous munitions,
🔻 remote mining of residential communities.
❌ The criminal actions of the Kiev regime have violated a whole range of provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child of November 20, 1989, including the provisions guaranteeing the right to life, healthy development, freedom of conscience, thought, views, opinions, and religious beliefs, education, and the use of the native language. Children living in Ukraine are subjected to harassment based on language, and are persecuted for pro-Russian views.
❌ The provisions of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child concerning the involvement of children in armed conflicts prohibit the recruitment of children during hostilities. However, these provisions are being blatantly violated, as Ukrainian armed formations force minors to undergo combat training in field camps, perform tasks as saboteurs, missile and artillery spotters, spread disinformation, and participate in terrorist attacks.
❌ In addition, the provisions of the Optional Protocol relating to the sale of children, child prostitution, and child sex abuse imagery are being violated because there are numerous cases of child abuse (sexual slavery and pedophilia) with the connivance of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, as well as the exploitation of children in the porn industry, which thrives in Ukraine.
❌ In cooperation with Western non-governmental organisations linked to organised crime, Kiev covers up the abduction of children for further export abroad, thereby ignoring the provisions of the above Optional Protocol, which establish the obligation of states to protect children from abduction and trafficking for subsequent exploitation. Of particular concern is the increased activity of criminal transplantologists in a number of Western countries, who use minors taken from Ukraine abroad as organ donors.
👉 We consider it important to condemn the inaction of the specialised agencies and international organisations, whose scope of duties includes providing assistance in ensuring compliance with the fundamental rights and freedoms of minors. Regrettably, the UN Secretary-General, the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Office led by him, the Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights, and the European Court of Human Rights deliberately ignore the evidence of crimes committed by the Ukrainian side against minors. They make biased decisions, release subjective reports on the Ukraine crisis, and thus shirk their direct responsibilities.
Such a biased and unprofessional approach encourages the Kiev rulers to violate international humanitarian law and to condemn an even greater number of innocent children to death and suffering.
In light of the above, members of the State Duma and senators of the Russian Federation hereby address the United Nations, international parliamentary organisations, and the parliaments of the world and call on them to provide legal, as well as moral and ethical assessments of the criminal actions of the Ukrainian authorities against minors.

They also urge cooperation with the parliamentary commission, which was formed by the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to investigate criminal actions against minors by the Kiev regime, in order to jointly stop the looming disaster and to save children in the armed conflict zone. An end must be put to the unprecedented suppression of information about the crimes committed by Kiev against minors and the distortion of facts about the numerous misdeeds of Ukrainian military in Western mass media which have, in fact, become participants in the psychological warfare.
❗ For the sake of peaceful life, stability, and prosperity worldwide, we urge our fellow parliamentarians, public and political figures, and all compassionate individuals to work together to help children. Their future, and thus the future of humanity, depends primarily on our political will, responsibility, and determination to protect, educate, and support the rising generation in our countries.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey #Lavrov’s statement and answers to media questions following the 21th #DohaForum, 10 December 2023
💬 The domination of the “collective #West” was based on diverse history including ruthless exploitation of peoples and territories of other countries.
On the basis of this five hundred years, the US & its allies built the model of globalization, which they believed would serve THEM well to continue to be number one in economy, in military exercises, in culture, politics, and so on and so forth. And they thought that they would be using this globalization scheme to continue their domination.
However, other countries, using exactly the principles and instruments of the western globalization, managed to beat the West on its own turf, building economies on the basis of national sovereignty, on the basis of balance of interests with other countries.
<...>
We see this process very much underway, which is clearly changing the balance of power in the world, and not to the West liking.
This is especially seen in various conflicts which the West ignites all over the world. Everything goes to keep the hegemony.
<...>
❓ The analysis of all these events raises a question: is there a single place where the US intervened with military force, where life has become better?
I think you know the answer 👉 Ruined statehood, human tragedies, and bleak prospects for the future of the countries where the Americans & #NATO interfered.
<...>
We have to accept the existence of new organizations, new formats, new structures like #BRICS, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, #ASEAN, #AfricanUnion, and many subregional organizations in Africa, CELAC and subregional groups in Latin America. They are going to be the bricks of the new polycentric world. This must be recognized as an objective course of history and this must be respected. This is something which we actually miss when we analyse the modern Western diplomacy. But this is for the West to draw conclusions.

⚡️ Comment by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the 75th anniversary of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide
💬 75 years ago, on December 9, 1948, the UN General Assembly passed Resolution 260 A (III) approving the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which confirmed that genocide was a crime under international law. In September 2015, the UN General Assembly proclaimed December 9 as the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime.
Throughout history, there have been numerous instances of national, ethnic, racial or religious groups facing annihilation.
❗️ The Europeans were actively involved in destroying the indigenous population of America as they colonised the continent. Researchers estimate that the number of their victims during the period from the late 15th century to 1910 reached a staggering 15 million. The Australian aboriginal people shared the fate of American Indians.
Unfortunately, despite centuries of human progress, the extermination of various ethnic and religious groups continues to occur. In fact, the 20th century witnessed the horrifying growth of such acts.
🕯 The tragic events of World War I, Nazi Germany’s extermination of Slavs in German-occupied Eastern Europe, and the Holocaust led to the realisation that genocide should be treated as a criminal act under international law.
<...>
⚠️ Justice must be served, and the crimes committed by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War, crimes fuelled by hatred and notions of racial supremacy, must and will be exposed.
☝️ Those professing the Nazi ideology in our day and age will be held accountable as well.
Russia is committed to ensuring that the crime of genocide, one of the gravest crimes against humanity, does not go unpunished.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: We are not severing diplomatic relations with anyone. President of Russia Vladimir Putin will accept credentials from the German ambassador today. But we will tell them the truth.

⚡️Briefing by Chief of Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of Russia Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov on US military-biological activity (December 11, 2023)
📄Western countries did sabotage the vote on the Security Council Resolution on the international investigation of the US biological labs.
Russian specialists gained access to several Ukrainian biological facilities: laboratories in Rubezhnoye, Severodonetsk, Kherson and their official documentation. It confirmed the dangerous nature of Pentagon's experiments to assess the Ukrainian population's susceptibility to zoonotic infections, the facts of testing pharmaceuticals on the local population and exporting biological samples to the US for their possible use in offensive biological programmes.
<...>
❗️Office of the President of Ukraine is coordinating the actions of national special services in organising an anti-Russian provocative action with poisonous substances.
Taking into account the experience of the Syrian conflict, it is assumed that accusing the Russian Armed Forced of using chemical weapons will allow launching a new anti-Russian campaign in the UN institutions and the world media outlets.
<...>
According to the reporting documents available to us for the Project 'Assessing Risk of Emerging Infections from Insectivorous Bats in Ukraine and Georgia', coronavirus studies were conducted in 2016–2020.
The spread of the new coronavirus infection has led to a significant increase in the profits of biotech companies that produce vaccines and drugs against coronaviruses, and increased the dependence of developing countries on the US, created the conditions for the continued implementation of dual-use programmes.
***
☝️The US efforts to establish global biological control are accompanied by the replacement of the provisions of the BWC and other norms of international law with its own rules, which were developed in the US interest, supported by the collective West, and imposed on third countries for implementation

#Opinion by Maria Zakharova
💬 The American magazine Foreign Affairs, on international politics, has not yet publicly stated its support for terrorism. However, Ben Hodges, a former Commanding General of US Army Europe and a trio from the US Military Academy – Prof Ledlie Klosky, Associate Professor of International Relations Robert Person and civil engineering expert Eric Williamson – are calling for bloody acts of terrorism.
In five pages, the above team headed by Hodges and Klosky discuss how to inflict irreparable damage on a Russian civilian facility – the Crimean Bridge, a symbol of the peninsula’s unification with the rest of Russia.
They advise potential terrorists what supports to hit, where to put explosives and what missiles to use for an attack. They urge Olaf Scholz to send TAURUS cruise missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as soon as possible. The American military are not in the least concerned that civilians are using this bridge, that women and children are riding trains and buses on it. They persistently encourage the Kiev regime to strike at this key civilian transport artery.
Do these sorry old cowboys know who they look like?
When Crimea was liberated in 1944, the USSR State Defence Committee passed a resolution on building a railway bridge over the Kerch Strait. The cableway resumed operations in February 1944, and the railway opened a bit later (the first train passed on November 3, 1944). The Germans continuously tried to strike both of them. Being aware of the crossing’s military importance, the Soviet command reinforced the group of defence units. In spring 1944, they used 470 air defence weapons, 294 anti-aircraft machine guns, 132 searchlights, 96 fighters and 2 radar stations. They needed all this combat hardware to repel attacks by Nazi troops that were not giving up their attempts to destroy the Kerch Strait crossing.
Am I correct in thinking that US Military Academy experts and retired generals are inspired by the Wehrmacht’s plans when they write about inflicting strategic defeat on Russia with such enthusiasm?
Incidentally, our Embassy in Washington has already publicly asked Foreign Affairs what other extremist manuals it is prepared to publish, noting that the principle of freedom of speech cannot justify appeals for terrorism.
It would be interesting to know how this magazine would react if someone proposed publish an article on its pages using the experience of destroying the Twin Towers on other skyscrapers in Manhattan?

🇷🇺 Thirty years ago, on December 12, 1993, 58.2 million Russian citizens (54.8% of the entire electorate) cast their ballots at a nationwide referendum and approved the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the country’s fundamental law.
The Constitution officially entered into force on December 25, 1993.
This important national document formalises the division of state power branches and the federal state system.
📕 #IntrerestingFact: The Russian Constitution is composed of the Preamble, two sections, nine chapters, 137 articles and nine paragraphs of interim and concluding provisions.
💪 The Constitution possesses supreme legal force and direct effect, and is applied throughout Russia.
The main copy of the nation’s fundamental law is stored in the Kremlin Library. When assuming office, the President of the Russian Federation takes an oath of allegiance, placing his right hand on this copy of the Constitution. The text of the 33-Russian word presidential oath of allegiance is as follows:
💬 In the execution of the duties vested in me as the President of the Russian Federation, I solemnly vow to uphold and safeguard human rights and freedoms, to honour and protect the Constitution of the Russian Federation, to preserve the sovereignty, independence, security, and integrity of the state, and to faithfully serve the people.
According to Article 86, the President of Russia oversees the implementation of the foreign policy of the Russian Federation.
The Constitution explicitly stipulates the role of international law as a component part of the Russian legal system. If an international treaty establishes different rules than those envisaged by the law, the rules of the treaty shall be applied.
🛰 #IntrerestingFact: Two copies of the Constitution have travelled into space: once aboard the Mir orbital station in 1999, and once aboard the International Space Station in 2005, spending 329 days in orbit in total.
