🏅 On May 7, New Delhi hosted the traditional “Immortal Regiment” rally dedicated to the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

👥 More than a hundred Indian citizens, Russian compatriots, students of local universities, representatives of the Russian foreign missions in India and members of their families walked with portraits of their relatives who participated in the war.

A concert took place at the Russian House, in which young artists from four colleges of the Indian capital and the Russian Embassy’s School named after Alexander Kadakin, as well as students of Russian language courses at the RCSC took part. The event ended with a screening of Nikolai Lebedev’s film “Nuremberg”.

📎 The “Immortal Regiment” event was also held at the Embassy’ School — students placed portraits of their heroic ancestors who defended our Motherland from the Nazi invaders on stands in the foyer of the educational institution.

🏅 🇷🇺 🇧🇾 🇰🇿 On May 8, on the occasion of the upcoming 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Russian Embassy in India hosted a solemn meeting with the participation of Ambassador of Russia Denis Alipov, Ambassador of Belarus Mikhail Kasko, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Nurlan Zhalgasbayev as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and members of their families.

As part of the event, flowers were laid at the memorial stele and the “St George’s Ribbon” campaign was held.
