📆 History knows many events which, by virtue of their profound impact on the international order, marked a change of eras. The #NATO attack on the Federal Republic of #Yugoslavia on March 24, 1999, falls into this category.

❗️It went beyond being a tragic milestone in the life of the Serbian people with thousands of ruined lives and desecrated national dignity, and included a devastating blow to international law and European security foundations that had been laid after World War II.

During the 78 days of military aggression 14,000 bombs were dropped on Yugoslavia and over 2,000 missiles were fired, including cluster and demolition shells. Mostly civilian targets were hit, including residential districts, hospitals, schools, bridges, mass transit vehicles, and refugee convoys. Thousands of civilians were killed, including 89 children, whom the Western coalition cynically referred to as “collateral damage.” No one has ever been held accountable for these atrocities. This is what the Western “peacemaking” is all about.

🖼 With reference to that horrifying tragedy the Foundation for the Study of Democracy jointly with the Fund for Legal Support and Protection of Compatriots' Rights Abroad prepared a presentation that clearly demonstrates the NATO war crimes in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.

✈️ Research & Production Corporation “Radio Technical Systems” (NPO "RTS") has completed manufacturing of 34 sets of the instrument landing system ISL 734 for the modernization of 24 airports managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Four batches of equipment have been shipped, with completion of deliveries scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.

🎙 The contract for the supply of radio equipment by the Russian manufacturer was signed in the second quarter of 2022. Despite the huge scale of the transaction, which has become the largest in the world over the past few years, the Russian side produced the ordered equipment in a short time and confirmed its compliance with the customer’s requirements during acceptance. The first landing systems supplied under the agreement have already been put into operation.

“The successful implementation of agreements with the AAI by the NPO "RTS" is a tangible contribution to the modernization of India’s airport infrastructure. We look forward to further strengthening the position of the Russian company in the Indian dynamic market. That will contribute to the expanded high-tech cooperation between our two countries,” noted Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov.

🗓 On April 19, 1783, Empress Catherine the Great signed a manifesto on the accession of Crimea, Taman Island and Kuban region into the Russian Empire.

Prince Grigory Potemkin, Governor-General of Novorossiya, played one of the key roles in the accession and development of Crimea. In June 1783, on top of Mount Aq Qaya, he personally received the oath of allegiance to Russia from the Crimean nobility and common people.

The results of the 2014 Crimean referendum once again confirmed the desire of Crimeans to remain part of our country and led to the long-awaited reunification of Crimea with Russia.
