The upcoming 75th anniversary of NATO on April 4 is a good occasion to recall some of the facts that betray the inherently pernicious nature of the Alliance. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ ๐ŸŸฃFact no. 1 NATO was created in 1949, as its first Secretary General Lord Ismay noted, โ€œto keepโ€ฆ
๐ŸŸฃFact no. 4

โ—๏ธFor many years Russia had tried to build normal and equal relations with NATO. The NATO-Russia Council was established in 2002 to become a dialogue platform.

The violent coup dโ€™etat in Kiev and brazen threats towards Crimeans by Ukraine became a watershed in Russia-NATO relationship. However, despite the evidence Russia had about NATOโ€™s own inimical designs towards Crimea it was the North Atlantic Alliance which in April 2014 suspended all practical cooperation with Russia.

๐Ÿ“ฒ The United States and its allies rejected all Russian initiatives on the indivisible security in Europe including as late as 2021 when the draft agreement on security guarantees for Russia was ignored by NATO.
