🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 On July 13, on the sidelines of the ASEAN ministerial events in Jakarta, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with External Affairs Minister of India Dr S.Jaishankar.
During the conversation, a number of topical issues of bilateral relations and cooperation in various areas were touched upon. They exchanged views on key problems on the regional and international agendas, including interaction within the SCO and BRICS.

#RussiaASEAN meeting
💬 We have held the annual Ministerial Meeting between Russia and ASEAN Member Countries once again. The meeting involved the Secretary-General of this organisation. We prioritised such aspects as high technologies, digitalisation and smart cities. We had a separate discussion of our collaboration on countering new challenges and threats. Cooperation between #ASEAN and the Eurasian Economic Union (#EAEU) is another issue.
We are expecting ASEAN representatives at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok in September 2023. We have drafted specific plans aiming to expand practical cooperation in various fields and in the interests of all participants.
On #NATO policy in the Asia-Pacific region
💬 It is true that the ASEAN approaches are now going through a serious test because of the desire of the US and its allies to replace the ASEAN-centric security architecture in the Asia-Pacific region, which took shape over decades and suited everyone until recently, with their “Indo-Pacific strategies” and NATO expansion in this region.
Japan and South Korea already told that they are willing to deploy American nuclear weapons on their territory or to acquire their own. This is a seriously dangerous trend.
#JCPOA
💬 I am not very optimistic about the prospects of resuming the JCPOA. Another point is that, along with this stalled and withered process, the Iranians and the Americans are engaged in unofficial and direct contact below the radar on normalising their relations by unblocking Iran’s seized foreign reserves in exchange for deciding the fate of certain US citizens who were charged with breaking the law in Iran.
We will only welcome any improvement in these relations. Once again, this has little to do with the JCPOA.

जी20 शिखर सम्मेलन को लेकर उन्होंने कहा, रूस का दृष्टिकोण साफ है कि 🇮🇳 की अध्यक्षता में हो रहे जी20 शिखर सम्मेलन में आपसी सहयोग की बात बढ़े। इस पर सहमति बने कि सभी देशों को वित्तीय, प्राकृतिक और प्रौद्योगिकी संसाधन समान रूप से मिलें।
जी20 की तमाम बैठकों में आम सहमति नहीं बनने से ज्वाइंट स्टेटमेंट नहीं निकल पाने पर बाबुश्किन ने कहा कि आम सहमति इस पर निर्भर करती है कि क्या पश्चिम आर्थिक एजेंडे का राजनीतिकरण करने और यूक्रेन के विषय को हर जगह थोपने की कोशिश करना बंद कर देता है। यह जानबूझकर थोपा गया एजेंडा है... हम इसे स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते और इसे जी20 के नतीजों का हिस्सा नहीं बनने दे सकते हैं।

अनाज सौदा काला सागर के माध्यम से यूक्रेनी बंदरगाहों से अनाज के निर्यात पर 🇷🇺 रूस, यूक्रेन, 🇹🇷 तुर्की और 🌐 संयुक्त राष्ट्र के बीच अंतरराष्ट्रीय समझौता है, जिस पर जून 2022 में हस्ताक्षर किए गए थे।
इसके अलावा रूसी अधिकारियों का कहना है कि रूस से निर्यात संबंधी समझौतों का दूसरा भाग किसी भी तरह से लागू नहीं किया जा रहा है। रूसी विदेश मंत्रालय ने स्पष्ट किया कि समझौता 18 जुलाई को समाप्त होनेवाला है। इन वजहों से रूसी अधिकारियों ने कहा कि सौदा नवीनीकृत होने की कोई संभावना नहीं है।

💬 On July 14, a UAV crashed and exploded in the city of Kurchatov, Kursk Region, where the Kursk NPP is located. Thanks to the smooth work of the air defence forces guarding the station, critical facilities were not damaged. There were no victims. At the same time, the nuclear power plant was the likely target of a new Ukrainian provocation, which once again indicates that the Kiev regime has embarked on the path of nuclear terrorism.
☝️ This is not the first time Kiev has threatened the safety of the Kursk nuclear power plant. In August 2022, as a result of the actions of Ukrainian saboteurs, power transmission towers were blown up, which created risk for the safe operation of the plant.
❗️ We strongly condemn Ukraine’s malicious plans to actively use terrorist methods against Russian nuclear power plants, which could result in a major nuclear catastrophe in Europe. We call on the international community and the leadership of the IAEA and the UN to pay close attention to this, and we strongly condemn Kiev’s irresponsible behaviour.
