भारत और रूस के युवाओं को एक साथ लाएगा चेस से उनका प्यार
सेंट पीटर्सबर्ग स्पोर्ट्स चेस फेडरेशन और मुंबई स्थित इंडियन स्कूल ऑफ चेस ने बुधवार को एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इसके तहत रूसी और भारतीय शतरंज खिलाड़ियों को नई संभावनाएं मिलेंगी।
दोनों पक्षों ने शतरंज सहयोग को मजबूत करने के लिए संयुक्त प्रतियोगिताओं और प्रशिक्षण शिविरों को आयोजित करने से लेकर अनुभव और सूचना का आदान-प्रदान करने तक के कदम उठाने का फैसला किया।
इस मौके पर एक युवा शतरंज टूर्नामेंट ऑनलाइन आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें दोनों देशों के 6 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया।

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 On June 1, during his visit to South Africa to take part in the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with his Indian counterpart Dr S.Jaishankar. Topical issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as international and regional problems were discussed.
The Ministers commended the dynamics of cooperation in the most important areas of the special and privileged strategic partnership between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to expanding the dialogue within the SCO, BRICS and the G20.
Mutual disposition was reaffirmed to continue the course of building a fair multipolar system of the interstate relations, including the prevention and impede of the use of the neo-colonial practices.

On the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin (224 years in 2023), the Russian House in India celebrates Russian Language Day.
On June 6 at 10:00 a.m., flowers will be laid at the monument to the poet at 35 Firoz Shah Road, New Delhi.
At 10:30 in the cultural center (5 minutes on foot) the exhibition of the State Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin "Mikhailovskoe" will open: illustrations for the novel in verse "Eugene Onegin".
Then our library will host a presentation about the life and work of the founder of the modern Russian language and a film about the museum in Mikhailovsky. We will read poems and sing songs to the words of Russian poets. There will be a linguistic quiz with prizes awarded to the winners.

❓Question: Many countries have been declaring their desire to be invited into the BRICS group. For instance, today, you met with the delegation from Saudi Arabia, who also expressed their desire to do that. Could you please tell us about the progress that is being made in this direction and why do you think BRICS attracts so many countries?
💬 Sergey Lavrov: Indeed, we discussed this issue, and I did discuss it with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud this morning.
As regards the approach of #BRICS, it is still being shaped, it is evolving. The sherpas reported to us about the results they reached at this stage. The Chair authorised them to continue after they listened to the comments made by each of us at the meeting.
BRICS is a different kind of structure. It is a new organisation based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, consensus, non-interference and strict adherence to the United Nations Charter, to all its principles in their interlinkages. It is not for BRICS to pick and choose something you like in this Charter for this particular situation and then to do the opposite for another situation. I think BRICS symbolises the evolution of the multipolar world, which is talked about very often, and more and more so. And the fact that more than 12 countries have expressed their desire to be part of BRICS is a testimony to that.
❓ Question: May I ask you to comment on the reports alleging that the BRICS Summit may be moved to China from South Africa? What do you think about these plans?
💬 Sergey Lavrov: As far as I know, this news story appeared in a single British tabloid of some sort.
And I do not read English papers.
