🚀 The Space Age began on April 12, 1961. Sixty-two years ago, mankind managed to overcome terrestrial gravitation and orbited the planet. We are particularly proud to recall that Soviet citizen and the first Soviet pilot-cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin accomplished this great breakthrough.

🧑‍🚀 Although Gagarin was only 27 on the eve of his space mission, he had come a long way from flying with the Saratov air club to joining the first Soviet cosmonaut squad. On that memorable morning in April 1961, he blasted off into the great unknown. A photographer snapped an image of Gagarin shortly before liftoff; the cosmonaut’s face had no sign of fear and showed the famous smile of Gagarin.

🌏 Yuri Gagarin spent 108 minutes in outer space and completed a full orbit around the Earth. Almost no one knew that history was being made on that morning. TASS news agency did not break the news until 10:13 am.

On April 14, Gagarin was riding in a convertible through the streets of the Soviet Union. Jubilant crowds cheerfully greeted him and showered his limousine with flowers. Every Soviet citizen felt that he or she was somehow a part of this historical event.

Gagarin was a representative of a county that had risen from the ashes of World War II not long before, and that had already plunged into a tense Space Race rivalry with the United States. Nevertheless, his feat belonged to all of mankind, not just the Soviet people. It served as a prologue to the glorious era of international cooperation in exploring outer space.

🌏 In the next two years, Gagarin visited more than 30 countries where he was given a hero’s welcome. The Soviet cosmonaut’s foreign tour was unofficially called a peace mission – people everywhere sincerely greeted the first man in space, regardless of their political views.

अंतरिक्ष में रहने के दौरान तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी ने राकेश शर्मा से पूछा था, 'ऊपर से भारत कैसा दिखता है आपको?' इस पर उन्होंने कहा था, 'मैं बगैर किसी झिझक के कह सकता हूं, सारे जहां से अच्छा।'

Major negative consequences of those attacks have been prevented by our country’s timely counteraction.

❗️ An analysis of the identified cyber threats has established that the United States and NATO countries have been using the Ukrainian territory to carry out massive cyber attacks on civilian facilities in Russia.

Ukraine’s internet infrastructure is currently being used by Western countries’ offensive cyber operations teams, allowing them to covertly employ new types of cyber weapons.

In order to hide its involvement, Washington seeks to make Ukraine look like the only mastermind of those cyber attacks, namely the IT Army of Ukraine hacker group, which is responsible for thousands of attacks on Russian information resources.

At the same time, those cyber attacks have been planned with direct involvement of the Pentagon Joint Forces Command as well as international hacker groups (Anonymous, Silence) and national players such as Ghost Clan (the US), Redhack (Turkey), GNG (Georgia), Squad303 (Poland), etc.

☝️ The Federal Security Service has the capacity to identify specific individuals, organisations and real customers involved in hacker attacks on Russian infrastructure, and hold them accountable.

⚡️ We noted the latest press release from the UN Secretariat on the Black Sea Grain Initiative for the export of Ukrainian food, which once again distorts data and facts. In this regard, we have to clarify the real state of affairs both with the implementation of the Black Sea Initiative and with the Russia-UN Memorandum on promoting domestic agricultural exports.

These documents, as is known, are interconnected parts of the package proposed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

In general, we note that, despite all the grandiloquent statements made about global food security and assistance to countries in need, the Black Sea Grain Initiative has served Kiev’s commercial exports exclusively in the interests of Western countries.

The removal of obstacles to Russian agricultural exports was supposed to take place as part of the Russia-UN Memorandum, which the UN did not even mention this time. Such silence is not only a clear indicator of the UN Secretariat’s attitude to the package Antonio Guterres proposed, but also of the absence of any practical results regarding the Memorandum.

☝️ In this context, Russia reaffirms its position that there can be no discussion of the Black Sea Grain Initiative after May 18 without any progress regarding the five systematic problems.
