❗️ The West is lying about what really happened at Nord Stream pipelines: Russian FM Lavrov

📍On September 26, 2022, three of the four strings of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines were damaged after an underwater blast. Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh earlier revealed that US Navy divers planted explosives to destroy the Nord Stream pipelines during NATO Baltops exercises last summer.

According to Hersh, US president Joe Biden decided to go on with the operation out of fear that Germany could lift sanctions, imposed against Russia over its special military operation in Ukraine.

#Russia's contribution to the security of both regional and international financial systems is significant. Politicizing and effectively dismantling these systems by limiting Russia's role in multilateral anti-money laundering efforts carries enormous risks.

Russia has always been and remains committed to strict compliance with its obligations in combating criminal proceeds. For twenty years as a member of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), we have managed to develop one of the world’s most advanced anti-money laundering regimes. The FATF mutual evaluation proved that in 2019.

More details on the consequences of limiting Russia's role in anti-money laundering efforts

🥞🎉🇷🇺 Exciting news from New Delhi! Russian compatriots got prepared for the week of Maslenitsa, which starts on February 20. This Slavic holiday is perhaps the oldest one. Did you know that the famous Russian pancakes (or blini) are actually its traditional symbol? They represent both the sun and the final opportunity to enjoy butter, milk, and eggs before the start of the Orthodox Christian Lent.

One of the most beloved traditions during Maslenitsa is assembling a Lady Maslenitsa doll made of straw and dress it in colourful rags. This doll becomes the centre of the celebration, and people sing and dance around it in khorovods. This celebration held in the Russian Embassy today was not an exception. We're thrilled that our Indian friends who study Russian culture and language also joined us! 🎉🥞🇷🇺
