🇷🇺☎️🇮🇳 On December 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi.
Having expressed satisfaction with the high level of bilateral cooperation developing on the principles of the Russian-Indian special and privileged strategic partnership, the leaders discussed in detail the prospects for practical interaction in such areas as mutual investment, energy, agriculture, transport and logistics.
They also underscored the importance of continuing close coordination within the framework of international organizations, including in the context of the Indian presidency in the G20 and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
At the request of Narendra Modi, Vladimir Putin gave fundamental assessments of Russia's line on the Ukrainian direction.
It was agreed to continue personal contacts.

🇷🇺📈🇮🇳 On December 10-17, 2022, a Moscow delegation headed by Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations, Chairman of the Board of the Business Council for Cooperation with India, visited India.
During the visit, the Russian-Indian Business Forum was held, on the sidelines of which a partnership agreement was signed with the ICIB and MSME Indian chambers for international business. The document is aimed at developing bilateral trade between India and Russia, as well as assisting local entrepreneurs and enterprises in finding and promoting investment projects in the two countries.
"Reflecting the need of the hour, Moscow takes the lead in moving the bilateral dialogue further to deepen interaction in digitalization, ICT, engineering, pharmaceutics, construction, logistics and other areas with the focus on high technology and groundbreaking solutions", said Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov (more details).

📢 2nd ASEAN-Russia Dialogue on ICT Security-related issues was held online on 15 December 2022.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Oleg Syromolotov 🇷🇺 and State Secretary of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Cambodia Khov Makara 🇰🇭 co-chaired the meeting. The delegations of Russia and ASEAN Member States comprised representatives of relevant governmental authorities.
🔹 During the meeting, participants outlined the prospects for further cooperation within specialized international platforms, primarily the UN (Open-Ended Working Group on security of and in the use of ICTs 2021-2025, Ad-Hoc Committee to elaborate a comprehensive international convention on combating the use of ICTs for criminal purposes) and regional mechanisms. The vectors for building up interagency cooperation in the areas of ensuring international information security, which are of mutual interest, were also discussed.
❗️The meeting highlighted the political will of Russia 🇷🇺 and ASEAN to further develop contacts, demonstrated readiness for a joint search for mutually acceptable solutions to counter emerging challenges and threats in the information sphere. As a result, an agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the ASEAN-Russia Dialogue next year. 🤝

US Senate Bans Azov Battalion Funding From $1.7 Trillion Bill
The US Senate Committee on Appropriations has blocked any funds from Monday’s 2023 fiscal year bill being used to provide arms, training or any assistance to the Neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, according to the committee’s website.
The $1.7 trillion bill, submitted to Congress on Monday, contains a tranche of $44.9 billion in emergency assistance to Ukraine and NATO allies.
