New Delhi: 🇷🇺Ambassador Denis Alipov Lauds Ties with India at Russian Cultural Festival
“There is a popular saying in India, “Dosti se zyada kuch bhi nahi hota.” A very precise characteristic of the trusted & friendly character of Russia-India strategic partnership,” Denis Alipov said, while inaugurating the Russian Culture Festival in New Delhi.
The festival commemorates 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The tradition of reciprocal cultural festivals between 🇷🇺-🇮🇳 resumes after two years of online exchange due to Covid, Alipov noted.
Furthermore, Alipov said that three famous Russian groups have been brought to India this year to celebrate the anniversary: The State Academic Honoured Dance Ensemble of Dagestan "Lezginka,” the Musical Ensemble "Terem-Quartet" and the State Ensemble of Cossack Song "Krinitsa."
After Delhi, the festival will move to Kolkata and then to Mumbai before returning to Delhi on Nov 29.

🇮🇳🤝🇷🇺 Russia & India make significant progress in establishing payment mechanisms in national currencies — Russian ambassador to India
Russia and India have made significant progress in establishing payment mechanisms which rely on the use of the countries' respective national currencies, Russia's Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said.
🗯 “I cannot tell you an exact date now, but I can say for sure that we have made significant progress in this dialog,” he said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV when asked what progress Russia and India had made regarding de-dollarization.
🔺“I repeat, we have been using this mechanism since 2014, now we need to expand it to cover all the spheres of our partnership,” the Ambassador added, noting that both countries are experienced in the matter.
According to him, the mechanism is being upgraded in the right way.
“I think that we will be able to use this mechanism in the nearest future,” the Russian ambassador said.
