During his meeting with India's Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and the leadership of the Indian Navy, Nikolai Patrushev discussed plans for joint exercises as well as matters related to strengthening military-technical cooperation. Issues of strategic stability in the World Ocean were also touched upon.
"For both our countries, maintaining a strong position at sea is a matter of national security amid growing geopolitical and economic turbulence. Although Russia and India are located in different regions, our nations share many similarities in their geostrategic circumstances.
India's location, with its coastline stretching more than seven and a half thousand kilometres and its access to the Indian Ocean, makes the maritime domain a critically important element of national security and economic development."

The neo-Nazi regime in Kiev continues to terrorise civilians in Russia.
Over the past week, 53 Russian citizens suffered from artillery shelling and drone strikes, with 8 people killed and 45 injured, including six children.
Russian courts continue to hand down sentences to Ukrainian neo-Nazis and mercenaries. In absentia, mercenaries from Georgia, Colombia, and the Czech Republic who participated in combat on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been sentenced to 28, 13.5, and 13 years in prison.
#Ireland #EU #Militarisation
Militaristic rhetoric of the [Brussels bureaucracy] finds fertile ground in Dublin, where the ruling coalition <…> is pursuing a course to revise constitutional restrictions on the participation of Irish service members in overseas missions.
The Irish run the risk of becoming pawns in reckless geopolitical games of the Westerners (Anglo-Saxons), who are clearly acting against Russia, with all the negative consequences for [Ireland] that this entails.
#US #LatinAmerica
Since September 2025, we have been witnessing an unprecedented military campaign launched by Washington in Latin America under the pretext of allegedly combating drug-trafficking routes into the United States.
We are extremely concerned by the military methods chosen by the United States to address this issue, which amount to little more than blatant interference in the internal affairs of Latin American states.
We firmly oppose the use of force or the threat of force to interfere in internal affairs under various pretexts, including counter-narcotics operations.
#AxisJapan #WarCrimes #NoStatuteOfLimitations
We continue our work on disclosing information about the crimes of Japanese militarism.
We have repeatedly emphasised that these crimes have no statute of limitations. Procedural actions aimed at bringing all those responsible to justice continue to this day.
Between March and June, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation adopted decisions annulling the conclusions issued in the 1980s–2000s that had granted rehabilitation to 24 Japanese citizens.
Following the review of court rulings in cassation and supervisory instances, it was established that these individuals are not subject to rehabilitation. Their guilt has been fully proven.
#US #Tariffs
From an economic standpoint, the introduction of 500% tariffs on goods from third countries that purchase Russian oil and gas seems absurd.
This is tantamount to the discontinuation of all trade relations between countries, as such a tariff rate is prohibitive.
Russian energy resources are supplied to dozens of states around the world, including Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, China, and India. It is downright impossible to substitute such volumes of oil and natural gas on the global market within reasonable timeframes.
Those who call for [such measures] are likely unaware of the negative consequences this would have both for the United States itself and for the global economy as a whole. Moreover, such a step would be a gross violation of international trade law.

From an early age, Indira Gandhi was immersed in the political life of the country: her father, Jawaharlal Nehru, was one of the leaders of the Indian national liberation movement and the first Prime Minister of independent India; her grandfather, Motilal Nehru, was among the veterans and leaders of the Indian National Congress; and Indira herself had known Mahatma Gandhi since the age of two.
🤝 Shortly after India gained independence in 1947, Indira Gandhi began her career in public service. Accompanying Jawaharlal Nehru on foreign trips, she visited the Soviet Union for the first time in 1955. After becoming Prime Minister, Gandhi continued to actively strengthen bilateral ties between New Delhi and Moscow, which led to the signing of the Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation between the USSR and India of 1971.
The trusting nature of Indira Gandhi’s relationship with Leonid Brezhnev, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, facilitated a high degree of interaction between the two countries. A landmark moment was her official friendly visit to the USSR in 1982, during which issues of bilateral cooperation, security, and international affairs were discussed.

The Chairman of the Maritime Board visited the Mormugao Port, the Goa Shipyard, and the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research.
The Presidential Aide discussed specific Russia-India cooperation projects with the leadership of the port, the shipbuilding yard, and the research centre.
Summarising the results of his visit to India, Nikolai Patrushev emphasised that representatives of Russian and Indian government agencies and companies participating in the talks demonstrated strong interest in the practical development of cooperation in both military and civilian maritime domains.
"Our countries can jointly build up their own fleets, strengthen cooperation between them, establish robust and sanctions-resistant maritime logistics, and develop marine science and technology.
Russia and India will pay special attention to the creation of scientific schools in the field of fundamental and applied research.
Moreover, it is important not only to enhance bilateral cooperation, but also to make active use of multilateral formats, particularly #BRICS. I consider it essential to work together to give this association a full-fledged maritime dimension."
