🇷🇺🇮🇳 On November 10, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov addressed the opening of the XIII All-India Conference of Russian Compatriots, organized with the support of the Russian House in New Delhi.

Denis Alipov emphasized the active contribution of compatriot associations, including the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots, to strengthening the position of the Russian language and culture, supporting traditional values, and preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, the 80th anniversary of Victory in which is being celebrated this year.

💬 Welcoming remarks were delivered by Tatiana Shlychkova, Executive Director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, and Elena Remizova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India. A message from Gennady Ovechko, Executive Secretary of the Government Commission on Compatriots Abroad and Director of the Department for Relations with Compatriots Abroad of the Russian Foreign Ministry, was also read out.

During the conference, its participants summed up the results of joint work in 2025 and discussed plans for the upcoming year, in particular activities aimed at the capacity-building of the compatriots' movement in India.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On November 11, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov addressed the inaugural session of the 4th Russia-India Heads of Think Tanks Meeting, organized by MGIMO University and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA).

Denis Alipov highlighted the depth and multifaceted nature of Russian-Indian cooperation based on long-standing friendship, trust, and mutual interest. He emphasized the need to fully realize the potential of the bilateral strategic partnership, which marks its 25th anniversary this year, and elaborated on its key role as a stabilizing factor in the international arena.

☝🏻 In the context of ongoing geopolitical challenges, the Ambassador pointed out the closeness of the two counties’ approaches to major issues on the global and regional agenda, including the formation of a truly just and equal multipolar world order and the strengthening of the voice of the Global South, through coordination at multilateral fora such as BRICS, SCO, the G20, and others.

The speakers at the event included Dr Maxim Suchkov, Director of the Institute for International Studies at MGIMO University, Mayank Singh, Joint Secretary, Eurasia Division, India’s Ministry of External Affairs, and Nutan Kapoor Mahawar, Acting Director General & Additional Secretary, ICWA.

On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by representatives of MGIMO, HSE University, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC).

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On November 10, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov addressed the ceremony of the presentation of the book "The Thousand Years War: Russia and the West" by Indian writer and Pushkin Medal recipient Achala Moulik.

Denis Alipov noted the timeliness and high relevance of the publication, which provides a detailed account of the centuries-long history of conflicts instigated by Western countries against Russia in attempts to seize its territories and resources. He emphasized that Achala Moulik’s work is objective and scholarly in nature, as well as marked by balance and depth.

👉🏻 The Indian author of several popular books is renowned for her professional interest in Russian literature and culture. Among her notable works are "Commemorating 50 Years of India-Russia Relations: Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation of 1971", "Silhouettes of Russian Literature: Pushkin to Yevtushenko", and "A Hundred Years of Leo Tolstoy and the Indian Connection".

The event was attended by representatives of friendly diplomatic missions, as well as members of the journalistic, academic, expert, and cultural communities.
