🤥 The widespread dissemination of disinformation is a serious modern challenge. Nowadays Russia is facing an unprecedented disinformation campaign unleashed by the Western countries. According to experts, up to $25 million is spent on it every day, and the overall costs have already reached almost $3 billion. Over 14 million disinformation messages have been identified in the media and social networks.

❗️ We believe that today it is necessary to focus on countering the phenomenon of disinformation, above all – by strengthening the media and information awareness of the population, as indicated in the relevant HRC resolution. The politicization of the fight against disinformation and its use as a pretext for obstructing the legitimate media activities is unacceptable.

⚡️Emergency statement by Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov

Yesterday, on June 29, 144 servicemen were exchanged for 144.

It had been organised and held according to the direct order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as the lives, the health and the liberation of our servicemen, the fighters of the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics who constitute the majority of the returned individuals, are the most important task.

Everything else is afterwards.

Almost all of the liberated individuals are wounded or gravely wounded. They are already receiving all the medical care they need.

The total number of captured or surrendered Ukrainian servicemen is more than 6,000 people.

💬 President Putin: As regards their preparations for some actions against us since 2014, this information is not new to us. They have long been looking for an external enemy, for a threat that would rally their allies. I am referring above all to the United States.

This is fresh proof of what we have been saying all along: that NATO is a relic of the past, of the Cold War era.

🇷🇺☎️ 🇮🇳 As agreed during the #BRICS summit on June 23–24, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on July 1, 2022.

The leaders discussed in detail topical issues of the #RussiaIndia relations, paying special attention to the further development of mutually beneficial ties in the economic sphere.

A significant increase in the volume of bilateral trade, including mutual deliveries of agricultural products, was noted with satisfaction.

They expressed mutual intention for the comprehensive strengthening of the special and privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India.

At the request of Narendra Modi, Vladimir Putin briefed on the key aspects of the Russian special military operation, emphasizing the dangerous and provocative nature of the Kiev regime and its Western patrons’ line aimed at escalating the crisis and disrupt efforts to resolve it politically and diplomatically.

The current state of affairs in the global food market was touched upon as well. Vladimir Putin drew attention to the systemic mistakes made by a number of states, which led to the disruption of the entire architecture of the free trade of food products and provoked a significant increase of their cost. Illegitimate sanctions against Russia have exacerbated an already difficult situation. The same factors had a negative impact on the global energy market. At the same time, the Russian leader stressed that Russia has been and remains a reliable producer and supplier of grain, fertilizers and energy carriers, including to the Indian partners.

Vladimir Putin and Narendra Modi agreed to continue personal contacts, as well as interaction at other levels.

💬 The current problems are not rooted in the West’s concern over developments in Ukraine. The West has much more ambitious schemes. They reflect the realisation that its 500-year era of dominance in world affairs has not only approaching the end but that it is being relegated to the past.

The West’s current actions reveal its all-out desire to prevent objective historical process from taking place and to maintain its dominance at any cost. You can see how they go to any length. They finish this drive with economic sanctions that they impose on our countries, among others.

Recently, a White House official said yet again that neither Russia nor anyone else, for that matter, should be apprehensive of NATO because it is only a defensive organisation. This is ridiculous. Adults should be ashamed to say nonsense like this.
