I spent a long time feeling totally lost with Android development. But a few weeks ago, while I was preparing (or whatever you call it😂) for my "Mobile Architecture" final exam, something actually started making sense. I’ve always learned best by just building, so I decided to work on Pulse.
I’ve always wanted a simple way to keep up with trending tech articles, so I built Pulse to curate the top ones, get AI summaries, and save for offline reading.
It’s a very simple app, but building it taught me so much:
* Designing with Jetpack Compose & Material 3.
* Structuring apps with MVVM.
* Making things work offline using Room.
* Diving into the full stack with Express/TS & Postgres to implement the curation.
* Integrating Gemini AI for instant insights.
The process was fun and challenging at the same time and of course will continue updating it. If you want to take a look at the code or try the app out yourself, you can download the APK and check the repo here:

I spent an hour trying to debug a logical error just because I accidentally made the util function async (accepted the inline suggestion) 😭 and also Idk for some reason console.log wasn't working and suddenly it worked

I was tasked with building a Pomodoro app,just a timer that toggles between 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of break as a starter project for my internship.
It was meant to be a straightforward exercise, but as I started writing the core logic, I realized the potential behind tracking focus data. Instead of stopping at a simple clock, decided to make it a fully functional productivity tool, I added:
🔹 Deep-Work Analytics: A dashboard that tracks daily streaks, weekly focus trends.
🔹 Session Ledger & History: A persistent audit log that tracks completion ratios, success rates, and allows users to manually log offline focus time.
🔹 Cross-Device Syncing: A secure Node/Express API that ensures user preferences, and session data are saved and accessible anywhere.
