In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new WhatsApp Channel, established especially for our dear brothers and sisters who wish to benefit from authentic Islamic knowledge but may not have access to other social media platforms. This channel has been created as a means of spreading beneficial knowledge, sharing sincere reminders, and bringing the guidance of the Qur’an and the Sunnah closer to the hearts of English-speaking Muslims.

In a time when distractions have multiplied, desires have been beautified, and hearts are constantly pulled in every direction, the believer remains in desperate need of reminders that revive the soul, strengthen īmān, increase certainty, and reconnect him to the path of righteousness. It is our hope that this channel will serve as a means of such benefit by the permission of Allah.

📖 On our channel, you will find:

• Translated videos from trusted Salafi scholars

• Authentic advice rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah

• Beneficial reminders that soften hearts and awaken heedless souls

• Timeless gems, wisdoms, and quotations from the Salaf

• Short educational clips covering ʿAqīdah, Fiqh, Manners, and Spiritual Purification

• Powerful admonitions, sincere counsel, and practical guidance for daily life

• Knowledge that strengthens certainty, rectifies worship, cultivates noble character, and increases steadfastness upon the truth

Our objective is not merely to share information, but to connect Muslims to the methodology of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ (the Righteous Predecessors), for it is the path of guidance, safety, and success in this world and the Hereafter. Through these reminders, translations, and beneficial excerpts from the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah, we hope to contribute—even if only in a small way—to the revival of hearts, the spread of authentic knowledge, and the strengthening of adherence to the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

We ask Allah, who has no deity worthy of worship except Him, to make this effort sincerely for His Noble Face, to place blessing in it, to benefit the Muslims through it, and to make it a means of guidance for those who have gone astray, steadfastness for the believers, knowledge for the seekers of truth, and an ongoing source of reward for all those who support, share, and benefit from it.

We warmly invite you to join us, benefit from what is shared, and forward it to your family, friends, and loved ones. For perhaps a single verse, a single hadith, or a single sincere reminder may become the cause of a person’s guidance, rectification, or salvation by the permission of Allah.

As the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever guides to goodness will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who does it.”

May Allah make us keys to goodness and locks against evil.

Acting Upon the Qur’an

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Likewise is the hadith of al-Nawwās ibn Samʿān, may Allah be pleased with him, in which the Prophet ﷺ informed that whoever recites the Qur’an and acts upon it, then on the Day of Resurrection Sūrah al-Baqarah and Āl ʿImrān will come forward before him, pleading on behalf of their companion on the Day of Resurrection.

However, in this hadith the Messenger ﷺ restricted the recitation of the Qur’an with acting upon it, because those who recite the Qur’an are divided into two categories:

One category does not act upon the Qur’an. They neither believe in its reports nor act according to its rulings. Such people—the Qur’an will be a proof against them.

The second category are those who believe in its reports, affirm them, and act according to its rulings. These people—the Qur’an will be a proof for them, pleading on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection, because the Prophet ﷺ said:

“The Qur’an is either a proof for you or against you.”

In this is proof that the most important matter concerning the Qur’an is acting upon it.

This is further supported by the statement of Allah, Blessed and Exalted:

﴿ كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ ﴾
“(This is) a Book which We have sent down to you, full of blessings, that they may ponder over its verses, and that men of understanding may remember.” [Ṣād: 29]

His statement:

﴿ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ ﴾
“that they may ponder over its verses”

Meaning: that they understand its meanings.

And His statement:

﴿ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ ﴾
“and that men of understanding may remember”

Meaning: and act upon it.

Acting was mentioned after pondering because acting cannot occur without reflection and understanding, since reflection leads to knowledge, and action is a branch stemming from knowledge.

So the conclusion is that this is the purpose behind the revelation of the Qur’an: that it be recited and acted upon, its reports believed in, its rulings implemented, and its commands carried out.

The Etiquettes of Supplication That the Supplicant Should Observe

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

First: Presence of heart and attentiveness.

Second: That a person believes in his complete need of his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, and that he asks Him as a poor and needy servant, not as one who feels self-sufficient.

Third: That he believes Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, never fails in His promise, due to His statement:

﴿وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ﴾
“And your Lord said: ‘Invoke Me, and I will respond to you.’” [Ghāfir: 60]

Fourth: That he does not supplicate for a sinful matter or for the severing of family ties.

Fifth: That he begins his supplication by praising Allah and sending prayers and peace upon His Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Sixth: That he avoids consuming unlawful wealth and unlawful food. This is among the most important of these etiquettes.

Seventh: It is recommended that he be in a state of purity, because the Prophet ﷺ said:

“I disliked mentioning Allah except while in a state of purity.”

This is better and more conducive to having one’s supplication answered.

Eighth: As mentioned in the hadith, that he raises his hands to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, because this is a sign of asking and seeking from Him.

Ninth: That the supplicant deeply feels his complete poverty and dependence upon Allah, while recognising Allah’s absolute independence from His creation, as well as the perfection of His generosity and bounty.
