Letting children use tools can be a scary thought, but there are so many skills to be learnt!
Using a saw promotes responsibility and self confidence, whilst teaching safety, coordination and fine motor skills. All in a days work for the kids who come to learn with us ππͺ

Our first Restoration & Renovation session saw the children stripping down a very neglected, old log burner π₯
Most had never used any tools before, but with a little guidance, they stripped the burner down and even gave it a good clean with a wire brush.
In the coming weeks, they will learn how to remove the rust, prime the surfaces, respray it, and ensure that it is safe to be used again as a log burner. We are so proud of what they have achieved so far!
Spaces still remaining for next week to come and join usπ₯
