The chart shows that the number of new projects in the past six months has reached a new low since 2020, with no more than 100 projects per month (some long-tail memecoins are not included in the statistics).

[Number of M&A in Crypto]

Unlike the significant contraction in crypto fundraising market, the number of M&As in crypto remains at a historical high, undergoing a structural shift from sporadic exploration to a full-blown explosion.

As the chart shows, the number of M&As has been slowly climbing over the past decade, finally reaching a record high in the second half of 2025. Since the beginning of this year, there were 93 M&As in crypto.
