The people of Cuba are engaged in the noble cause of fighting against a communist dictatorship. One of the most effective things we can do as a country to support the Cuban people is to get internet connectivity back on the island. Time is of the essence in Cuba.

The one thing that communist regimes fear the most is the truth. If we’re able to help the people of Cuba communicate amongst themselves and to the outside world, the truth will prevail. I am calling on President Biden to step up and help provide internet to the Cuban people.
I was proud to sponsor a thank you lunch for Florida’s USAR Task Forces 1 & 2, in recognition of their tireless efforts in Surfside. Thanks to Jeff Zalaznick and the renowned Carbone for catering a great meal. If you are in Miami Beach check out Carbone!

In June, Florida gained 69,300 private-sector jobs — that’s 14 consecutive months of private-sector job growth and the largest monthly increase of the year.
I was pleased to visit Green Cove Springs, Perry, and Bristol to award grants totaling more than $30 million to ensure that small communities have the infrastructure and funding they need to create jobs and strengthen their economic resiliency.

Today, I join Gov @ GregAbbott_TX with leaders from Texas & Florida to send a clear message to Washington — our states will enforce the law while the Biden Administration neglects its duty. Law enforcement from across the country are ready and willing to help secure our border.
The disaster at our border is a direct result of the Biden Administration ending Trump border policies that curbed illegal immigration, the influx of drugs, and human smuggling.
When Gov. Abbott sent out a call for help to secure our southern border, Florida answered. Today, more than 50 officers from Florida state law enforcement are deployed in Texas, fighting human smuggling and drug trafficking at the border.
In just 23 days, more than 50 Florida state law enforcement have helped apprehend more than 2,800 illegal aliens and assisted with more than 100 criminal arrests for felonies ranging from human smuggling to drug trafficking.
My administration & FLDEPNews have committed more than $2 million to respond to red tide in Tampa Bay. Cleanup efforts are underway & MyFWC has enhanced monitoring efforts year-over-year by 165%.
We will continue to work with local governments to provide assistance and identify ways to mitigate red tide.

In the last month alone, 1,050 lbs. of the deadly narcotic fentanyl was seized at the southwest border. This is enough to kill 72% of the U.S. population. 27 times more fentanyl was seized in June 2021 compared to June 2018.

If allowed to continue by Biden, this mass migration will be a major strain on our social services, education, medical system, and taxpayers.
