Florida is the first state to hold Big Tech accountable by requiring social media platforms to publish detailed standards and to apply them fairly. Social media companies will no longer be able to hide behind vague language as to why they censored a Floridian’s post.
The Florida Attorney General can bring action against tech companies that violate the Big Tech law, and if found guilty of violating Florida's antitrust law, can be blacklisted from contracting with any public entity.
Florida’s first-in-the-Nation Big Tech Bill will fine social media platforms $250,000 a day for deplatforming a statewide candidate for elected office.
Today, I signed the FIRST BIG TECH BILL that gives everyday Floridians the ability to fight back against Silicon Valley censorship. Speaking to @ SeanHannity this hour about how this is just the beginning.

Baker County was one of the first school districts to open up for face-to-face instruction this school year and today are finishing their 180th day of in-person learning. I’m glad we were able to secure these teachers and principals bonuses of $1,000! #OpenSchools
Because of our Teacher Pay Initiative, Sarasota has seen an increase in average minimum teacher salary of over $3,000. This is in addition to the $1,000 bonuses we have guaranteed for all teachers and principals. #OpenSchools

In Florida, parental choice in education means freedom to educate your children the way you best see fit. Thank you to the Florida Parent Educators Association for the hard work you do to make Florida education great.
From 2003 to 2020, outpatient prescription drug prices increased from more than $177 billion to approximately $500 billion dollars. Today, we call on the Biden Administration to approve Florida’s plan to lower prescription costs.

No better way to start Memorial Day Weekend than a Salute to America’s Heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
In 2019, the Florida Legislature passed several pieces of legislation, including Florida’s Canadian Drug Importation Program, to reform our health care market by increasing transparency, empowering patients, and reducing costs.

Florida’s Canadian Drug Importation Program will improve access to essential medications to our most vulnerable citizens and potentially save the state between $80 to $150 million in the first year alone.
We mourn the loss of the two victims and are praying for the recovery of the more than 20 people injured at El Mula Banquet Hall near Hialeah. We are working with local authorities to bring justice to the perpetrators. Justice needs to be swift & severe!

This solemn day, we remember the sacrifice and lives lost by the great men and women of our armed forces who fought to secure liberty and freedom for all. This Memorial Day, I ask all Floridians to pause at 3:00 p.m. for a moment of silence to honor our fallen heroes.
The Fairness in Women’s Sports Act will empower Florida women & girls to be able to compete on a level playing field. This will help ensure that opportunities for things like college scholarships will be protected for female athletes for years to come.
