Alois Hudal was an Austrian Catholic Bishop who was anti-communist, anti-liberal, anti-parliamentary, anti-Semitic, and an ardent supporter of National Socialism; a true clerical fascist.

With a fear of Bolshevism spreading into Europe, he proclaimed that he wished to be a servant and herald of the German cause. He spoke often of the Semitic race that sought eternal financial dominance by way of democracy and internationalism, and in his book Die Grundlagen des Nationalsozialismus he praised Hitler and even criticized Vatican policies. Although the book wasn’t circulated to the German public, Franz Von Papen said Hitler liked it.

While the Protestant German Christians were being attacked by Rosenberg, in true non-confessional positive Christian fashion, Hudal had Myth banned. He saw Rosenberg and the anti-Christian sect as the “left wing” of the Reich.

In 1945, Hudal was instrumental in organizing the “ratlines” that helped the likes of Mengele, Eichmann, Brunner and many others flee to South America.
