Misleading claims regarding the Tel Kojer/Al-Ya'rubiyah explosion

We categorically deny the claims made by the Minister of Defense of the Damascus government, who alleged that our forces carried out an attack targeting an ammunition depot in the Tel Kojer/Al-Ya'rubiyah area.

We confirm that our forces had no military activity in that area, nor did we carry out any operation of this kind. According to confirmed information available to us, the explosion resulted from an accident during the transfer of ammunition by Damascus factions, and our forces have no connection to it whatsoever.

Was geschah in Hewlêr (Erbil)?

Alle Anwesenden des Treffens warteten darauf, dass der amerikanische Diplomat ein Waffenstillstandsabkommen vorlegt, das alle zufriedenstellt und den Konflikt beendet. Doch Tom Barrack sagte, dass die syrischen Bombardierungen und Angriffe nur unter einer Bedingung eingestellt würden:
Laut einer amerikanischen Quelle in Syrien stimmten sie zu, sich der syrischen Armee anzuschließen und die Kräfte der Volksmobilisierung (Hashd al-Shaabi) im Irak anzugreifen.

Wir haben gegen die Terrororganisation ‚Islamischer Staat‘ gekämpft, um Frieden zu bringen. Ich kann mich diesen Terroristen nicht anschließen und im Irak kämpfen.“

Tom Barrack antwortete:
„Gut, kein Problem, dann akzeptiert den Beschuss“, und das Treffen endete.

What happened in Hewlêr (Erbil)?

Everyone at the meeting was waiting for the American diplomat to present a ceasefire agreement that would satisfy all parties and end the conflict. However, Tom Barrack said that the Syrian bombardment and attacks would not stop except under one condition:
According to an American source in Syria, they agreed to join the Syrian army and attack the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) in Iraq.

At first, Masoud Barzani appeared shocked after hearing this offer, as shown in the following photo and video. The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, was also in a state of severe shock and anger, and he was visibly trying to restrain his rage with his hands, as seen in the video. He was followed by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, who appeared in the video extremely upset and astonished.

Finally, the SDF commander responded:
“I’m sorry, I cannot accept this kind of offer because I am not a mercenary; I am a freedom fighter. My forces work for humanity. We fought the terrorist organization ISIS to establish peace. I cannot join these terrorists and fight in Iraq.”

Tom Barrack replied:
“Alright, no problem, then accept the bombing,” and the meeting ended.
