Please, please, please: store this on your device and courteously refuse to wear a mask if you’re told to, which most people think you will be.

If I am absolutely required to wear one on pain of exclusion from whatever it is that is demanding the mask, I’m going to refrain from the activity. I’m not going to comply with fear BS. Even if it’s hospital. Or dentistry. On the latter, the dentist is inches from your unmasked face. Yet there were in some waiting rooms an absolute requirement to wear masks. Not doing it.
You cannot comply your way out of tyranny and that’s what this is. It’ll get WORSE if you comply. It’ll become about much more than masks, culminating in mandatory injections.
It’s a big ask for some, because masks work for tyrants to reinforce fear, identity rule breakers to shame and apply peer pressure on us.
Those of us who, politely enough, have never given a monkeys what total strangers think of me have lesser difficulty not wearing them. If you do the right things and let the chips fall where they may, you don’t have to remember which ridiculous lies you’re willing to look the other way about today.
I could get much more Anglo Saxon in language about this, but it would only communicate frustration and contempt, whereas communicating your position with a calm and courteous disposition denies the other party the righteous boost they want.

WHO Treaty Negotiators Call For Governments and Big Tech To Tackle “Infodemics,” and “Misinformation”

The idea of a pandemic was just recently seared into everybody’s minds (rightly so, given the level of disruption caused by the reaction to Covid at personal/business/national level) – and now, building on that state of fear – we have a neologism to contend with.

“Infodemic.”

It’s when saying something is a “pandemic” is just not good enough. And, when you want to be able to target multiple policies/media/persons at the same time.

Reports are already cropping up where this made-up word, “infodemic,” is used as if it means something. No quotes around it, either – and there’s talk about “managing” the situation, the way “global policymakers” -i.e., the WHO treaty negotiators – now see it.

Opponents will say that the UN agency has simply decided to play on the element of intimidation and fear here, by featuring the phrase front-and-center in its recent initiatives.

The most prominent one at this time, of course, is the WHO’s pandemic treaty/accord. It calls for pretty much everybody – to “take action.”

Without ever really going into explaining exactly what the previous pandemic was, how it was handled (justly or not so), whence it originated, and why – the UN’s WHO is now “preparing for the next one.”

Yet this is not a board game – billions of people’s well-being and livelihoods are supposed to depend on it, going forward.

But now, let’s take the threat of “infodemic” at face value, as those peddling the word would no doubt want us to.

It is this: primarily, a call to rally governments, researchers, media organizations, and tech platforms to take “stronger” action against “the new phenomenon.”

But what is it? “Too much information, including false or misleading information in digital and physical environments during a disease outbreak.”

Say what? Thus far the target was arbitrarily designated “misinformation” – but now “too much information” is also a problem? What does – and in what world – “too much information” even mean?

At this point, the UN and its agencies frankly make themselves look like dystopian trash.

But let’s not take any of this lightly. The intent, according to reports and “studies” they derive their narratives from, is for governments to “monitor the impact of misinformation on social media, respond with interventions that mitigate and protect against the harmful effects of infodemics (…) put out messages based on ‘actionable behavioral change.'”

Brazil’s UN Representative: “Dissemination of False Information Regarding Health Matters Constitutes…a Possible Criminal Offense”

There was a time when Brazil was considered to have had some of the finest diplomats serving their country and the UN as representatives of the world organization, around the world. Their mission was to mediate in real crises and armed conflicts.

Certainly – it was not to serve any one group of countries’ political or ideological interest, and certainly, not to stray from UN’s original mission into some “pandemic/infodemic” weeds.

But those times are gone, and now, we have this: Tovar da Silva Nunes (that’s Brazil’s representative to the UN and a member of the group negotiating the WHO pandemic treaty), effectively advocating for worldwide authoritarianism. On healthcare issues, at least.

Nunes has the distinction of being cited in reports as calling for (what is considered) dissemination of false health information and medical interventions being treated as “a possible criminal offense.”

What AP left out is that Hochul is actively fighting in court to give the NY Governor and her health department the right to create quarantine camps at any moment if they choose.

So even if they are “not trying to create” quarantine camps right in this very moment, they are fighting to legalize the mechanism to do so!
