Good day everyone. It’s been a long time since the last update, and as always, we’ll keep you posted on everything that’s happened up to today!

📈 Crowdfunding Status

We’ve currently reached 70% of our goal! This is thanks to all the amazing people who have donated since this campaign launched up until today!

This is a huge achievement because our reach was significantly reduced and restricted by some communities, making our means of outreach much shorter than in previous campaigns we’ve supported.

👤 Change of Lead

Since the launch and up until today, @joedmoba has been the main lead for this campaign. Due to family reasons, he will be away for a while; therefore, @MrZ3T4 will take over in his place. So from today on, any questions about this campaign, you can message him directly or through our group @rodinbest.

We’ll also change the donation links and use only ko-fi as our single donation platform. Updating the minimum amount from $5 to $1 (tax added by mistake lol).

📱 Device Tree Status

Currently, the device tree for Android 16 is complete, and Android 17 is in the testing stage.

🧩 Conditions for the Device Tree Launch

As you know, this campaign is exclusively to buy the phone for our lead developer, since the original agreement was to start development once we reached the goal and had the device in hand. But to encourage people to donate, we convinced @TeamMEX_XDA to work in advance without the device, with the help of our testers—at least until we have a stable DT for Android 16 and can show the community that this campaign is completely real.

This is because we ourselves have been victims of other campaigns driven by outside communities that we supported in the past, and unfortunately it ended up being a scam.

That said, @TeamMEX_XDA agreed to work in advance, but under the condition of not publishing the DT until the campaign ends. Currently, we’ve reached an agreement where we’ll have early access to the DT, and we’ll be able to release ROMs based on it.

❓ Who is this "new" developer?

@TeamMEX_XDA is a well-known Mexican developer from the XDA Developers community, mentioned and credited in projects like LineageOS. Creator and maintainer of the “XPErience” ROM, based on CLO, and of the “Yuki kernel,” which has been under development since the heyday of custom ROMs. He actively maintains multiple devices such as dodge, diting, lisa, redwood, waffle, and soon rodin.
