Just did this the past 6 hours , ported the source of truth for patterns from hard coded values in code to actual database entries

i can now define repeatable regexes and identifiers and start moving patterns to the cloud

Responses seem to have plateaued at 65 so here are the stats so far

80% of users ( 52 people )
Are feature over privacy , being okay with sending messages to the cloud for processing as long as its respectful and safe.

8 people will wait until they can own their own database and 1 person will wait till licensing is available.

This was pretty much what i expected.

for distribuition ,
58.9% [ 33 peeps ] don't mind apk files
80.4% [45 peeps ] would also want it to be on the play store and
20% [ 11 peeps ] can also work with f-droid

For providers the top ones are Telebirr CBE BOA and binance

and the most interesting feature was charts then spending and goal setting then tagging

with the least important being bill splitting

86% of the responses move money under 50k per month
and 50% below 10k/m

85% of users think they have at most 24 people they transact with so most people send money to the same set of people
but 3 people from the survey transact with over 100 people in their circle

for the revenue model

monthly subscription was the favorite , with a free tier available.

but also when asked for what is a reasonable amount , 4 people said 100 ETB / m 😂 , one person said 0.4 ETB
and another said why am i paying if im hosting the database myself ( to which i dont know how to respond )

for the basic tier , expectations were 2-5$/m [ 17 people ]

for the premium tier , expectations were 5-18$ [ 16 people ]

for lifetime access , expectations were 30$-2000$
with a significant amount of responses under 100$
