UPDATE FOR CELL GROUPS IN LIGHT OF THE UPDATED COVID-19 MEASURES
Dear RiverLifers
With reference to the easing measures from 10 August, we highly encourage cell groups to gather in-person or interact in group-size(s) of 5s or 5 visitors per household.
We will provide further updates on reopening of in-person worship services soon.

UPDATE FOR CELL GROUPS IN LIGHT OF THE UPDATED COVID-19 MEASURES
Dear RiverLifers
We refer to the previous Broadcast sent earlier today.
With regards to social gatherings, we need to clarify that the government strongly encourages all unvaccinated individuals to remain in groups of up to 2 individuals.
As such, we will leave the decision to the cell group's discretion as we recognise that different members have different perspectives and comfort levels. More than one view can co-exist for us to still experience oneness. Let's make this decision with a lens of Love for one another.

A WORD FOR CELL GROUPS IN LIGHT OF THE UPDATED COVID-19 MEASURES
Dear RiverLifers
Since the announcement of the updated measures, we have broadcasted 2 preliminary messages to encourage cell groups to resume in-person according to MOH guidelines. Here is a more comprehensive guide for us.
As we have a wide spectrum of cell groups of different ages and stage of life, here are some important considerations that we should bear in mind as we resume in-person cell gatherings.
1️⃣ Abundance of caution
Let's adopt this posture as we resume in-person cell gatherings and activities.
2️⃣ MOH guidelines and local situation updates at https://www.moh.gov.sg/ and prayerful discretion
Let's stay alert on the latest guidelines and exercise prayerful discretion as we follow these guidelines in our resumption of in-person cell gatherings and activities.
3️⃣ Ongoing risk factors and comfort level of leaders and cell members
Let's promptly keep one another updated on vaccination status and/or risk factors arising from e.g., quarantine orders, MOH alert on household’s exposure to new clusters, overseas travel or if there is elderly or underlying medical conditions. On a week-to-week basis, we should assess together if everyone is comfortable to proceed with in-person activities. Give hosts and each other permission to express discomfort with any risk exposure and let us not be offended or take it personally if it concerns us.
4️⃣ Extra precaution for the unvaccinated
About 10% of RiverLifers (excluding children) are unvaccinated according to our survey so far. If we are part of this 10%, MOH has urged us to exercise tighter safe management measures to protect ourselves and those around us, including remaining in groups of no more than 2 persons for any in-person cell participation. This is to reduce the likelihood of transmission and severe infection.
A mix of online, in-person sub-groups and hybrid of online and in-person gatherings is the new norm so let us develop agility in such times. More so, let us draw from the Lord and persevere in this landscape by staying engaged, relying on His grace and empowerment to practice koinonia. Recommended reading: https://www.crosswalk.com/faith/spiritual-life/what-every-christian-needs-to-know-about-koinonia.html
We will broadcast another update on re-opening of in-person worship services as soon as we are ready.
🙏🏻 Our elders, pastors and staff remain in fervent prayer for us as a church.

PASTORAL ADDRESS HIGHLIGHTS
Dear RiverLifers
As shared by Pastor Ben during his pastoral address this morning, we are resuming in-person worship services! Here’s a summary of what was shared.
1️⃣ KEY CONSIDERATIONS
Two factors were crucial when deciding how we resume in-person worship services:
- RiverLife’s upcoming anniversary commemoration
- Including RiverLifers, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, for in-person worship services.
2️⃣ PHASED REOPENING
Over the next few weeks, our various congregations will resume in-person worship services at different start dates as each congregation manages specific considerations. Refer to the accompanying image for details. More information on ticketing and service details will also be shared soon.
3️⃣ RESCHEDULING OF RL’S ANNIVERSARY
We will commemorate our church anniversary the weekend of Sep 4-5.
4️⃣ LIVESTREAM OF SERVICES WILL CONTINUE
We understand that not everyone is ready to gather in-person just yet. As such, services will continue to be live-streamed via our YouTube Channel.
Life today is different, but God is still in control. Be assured that our Elders and Senior Leadership Team have you in our hearts and pray for you constantly.
