The 🇺🇸 president will head to Florida on Saturday, but his visit will not include a meeting with Governor Ron DeSantis - despite Joe Biden telling reporters at the White House the exact opposite.
The US state is surveying the aftermath of hurricane 🌀 Idalia. But it seems even a disaster of such a scale isn't enough to put politics to the side for corrupt ol' Joe.
DeSantis's spokesman confirmed there was no such plan for a meeting, adding that it wouldn't take place because the security required for Biden would hinder the recovery effort.
So while Biden delayed visiting Hawaii for ages, politics is all the storm in Florida as he and Jill go to visit residents.

The 🇺🇸 State Dept informed Congress of its green light to Bulgaria’s request to buy 183 Stryker vehicles, more than half of them infantry carrier vehicles.
The sale comes a month after Bulgaria, which has large stocks of Soviet weaponry, agreed to send around 100 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
Washington also recently approved $12bn in Apache attack helicopters and earlier agreed to sell advanced Abrams tanks to Poland 🇵🇱 as it continues to stoke division in Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and more - for the benefit of its military industrial complex masters.

The Central Asian nation will take the decision on whether to build its first nuclear plant to the nation, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has revealed - adding that the referendum date would be decided later.
🇰🇿 has already identified a planned location for the facility in the southeastern Almaty region and mentioned Russia's Rosatom as a potential partner.
However, some activists oppose the project because of safety concerns and Kazakhstan's history as home to the Soviet-operated Semei nuclear weapons testing ground.

It's the fourth false alarm since 2020 for the dam which protects parts of Washington state.
The system in Carnation, near Seattle, is supposed to alert residents if the Tolt Dam fails. It sent thousands into a panic that they had to evacuate.
Officials have apologised for the confusion and claim the tech and equipment is being replaced. (CNN)

In the video, the unidentified man encourages a person to break the window, saying, "Why don't you guys open up the rest of it?" – before doing it himself.
Shortly after realizing he is being recorded, the masked man quickly drops the glass and violently shoves another man, awkwardly blaming him for smashing the window.
So, why isn’t the FBI interested in the masked man wearing an earpiece?🤔

The Last Politician has allegedly revealed that VP Harris is completely insecure and demands to know who has been criticising her... with West Wing staff comparing her to a rabbit.
It's claimed Harris froze out one staffer for speaking to reporters - suspecting the person of speaking ill of her abilities.
Franklin Foer's book also claims that the Border Czar dropped the Central America project because it was a 'futile gig' - instead of fixing it - and didn't want her role to be about women or race, but wanted her office as majority women and a black woman as chief of staff.
Foer writes she basically made her own job more difficult and then couldn't be trusted with important things.
