The billionaire behind the largest contract electronics manufacturer, Terry Gou, has thrown his name in the hat for the presidential elections in Jan 2024.
Gou stated he will not let the island territory of China become the next Ukraine, and vowed to bring 50 years of peace to the Taiwan Strait.
Foxconn, which has been on the frontline of 🇨🇳 & 🇺🇸's 'chip war', could be about to undo Washington's work of building tension and supplying military hardware to the region.

Strong winds forced a P&O ship across Palma harbour - pushing it into a freight vessel and onto rocks, before being hauled back into position by tug boats.
Passengers were told to assemble at emergency points on the Britannia, while being told, "this is not a drill", by the captain after they heard a loud bang and saw debris floating in the water.

Iran Sanctions Busting: World's Largest Gas Field Enters Final Development Stage
President Ebrahim Raisi has officially inaugurated the final stage of the South Pars gas field during a visit to Asaluyeh port.
Phase 11 15mn cubic meters of gas produced per day rising to 56mn before phase 12 which is an onshore transfer to a refinery.
It's expected to generate an annual income of $5 billion once the development is fully completed. Previously, France's Total was one of the major firms that withdrew from the South Pars project due to US sanctions on Tehran.
