The IDF instructed residents in parts of eastern Lebanon’s Bekaa region to evacuate, issuing a warning that the area would soon be targeted again by Israeli forces on Thursday.

“You are located near facilities and interests that belong to Hezbollah, which will be targeted by the Defense Forces in the near future,” a social media post claimed.

🇺🇦 Due to a shortage of experienced Ukrainian pilots with English language skills, the U.S. plans to train young cadets on F-16s, according to The Wall Street Journal citing sources.

Americans believe that young cadets will be more receptive to learning in the Western style.

This could significantly extend the timeline for Ukraine to receive a full squadron of 20 Western aircraft and 40 pilots, likely not happening before spring-summer 2025.

The newcomers will need to spend a year training in the UK and France before moving on to practical training on F-16s in Arizona and Romania. Experienced pilots may skip the basic flight training.

According to the publication, the American training course has recently been a subject of discussion, especially after the loss of an F-16 in August.

Ukrainian trainees have struggled with some aspects of training and the English language.

Additionally, some Ukrainian pilots with combat experience on Soviet MiGs have resisted American training methods. Tensions have arisen because NATO instructors have established ways of operating, while Ukrainians often have more combat experience.

The North blew up roads and railways connecting it to South Korea on Tuesday - a move which local media described as ‘part of the step-by-step implementation to thoroughly separate the two countries.’

"As of now, it looks like Ukraine will be the 33rd member. But someone else might step in before them. Still, Ukraine will be a NATO member in the future. That’s something we decided in Washington," Rutte claimed at a NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels Thursday.

"So, if the specific question is ‘When?’, I can’t answer that right now,” Rutte noted.

His comments come after Zelensky demanded membership immediately as part of his “victory plan” - Rutte did not comment on whether this changed the position of member countries regarding Ukraine’s invitation to join the Alliance.

Gaza-based traders - who were importing food from Israel and the West Bank - have lost access to a system since Oct 11 that was introduced by Cogat, the Israeli govt body that oversees aid and commercial shipments and have received no reply to attempts to contact the agency. (Reuters citing sources)

The shift has driven the flow of goods arriving in Gaza to its lowest level since the start of the war, a Reuters analysis of official Israeli data show.

Cogat did not respond to Reuters' questions about commercial food imports and aid to Gaza.
