Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Australia, New Zealand and South Korea of joining a new global axis.
The Russian leader compared it to WWII, when Nazi Germany aligned with Japan. Earlier this year the UK signed a defence agreement with Tokyo.
Putin called it the rise of 'Global NATO'.

Oil Indicates Banking Crisis Averted?
Early trading this week has seen prices continue to climb back up, as the finance sector appears to have taken its fat cat paws off the panic button.
Both Brent and West Texas continued to claw back losses on Monday, with the former rebounding almost 4% in a week - with the SVB and Credit Suisse crises halted (for now).

Loose Barges Hit Dam on Ohio River - Sinking with Tons of Methanol on Board
That sinking and toxic feeling... it's not just trains, it's boats as well in the US. Several barges are sinking in Kentucky, one of them carrying 1,400 tons of toxic methanol.
Footage shows them at a dam in Louisville, where the authorities have closed the floodgates to avoid a chemical leak. They say there's no need for alarm.
Methanol dissolves quickly in water, but could kill wildlife at the spill site. It's not as dangerous as vinyl chloride, which was released into the soil and rivers in Ohio after a chemical train crash.
