Did some digging on the impossible/beyond burgers. To mimic the taste of red meat, they get heme by taking gmo soy and get the genes that produce leghaemoglobin which is found in legumes and inject them into yeast and they ferment to produce this heme which is a form of genetic modification. When cooking this substance, it further creates the stimulants and carcinogenic compounds which mimic the taste of cooked meat. This can act as a free radical and contribute to cancer the same way red meat does and on top of this they add other refined and toxic ingredients to this concoction. If you are trying to eat a wholefoods plant based diet, definitely stay away from this stuff.

One difference to note is on cooked food is that you become a lot hungrier and you can overeat. Even with your stomach very full, you still have the urge to just want to eat more and you can actually hurt your stomach as if you were ripping a bag if you fill it up too much. On raw fruits and even vegetables, your body actually becomes more satisfied when you eat enough fruits until you are satiated and you don't feel the need to eat more and eat to the point of hurting yourself.
