I'm thoroughly convinced and this is what we're going to deal with on every single one of the Alphas that show up every day or given their schedule permits. The system has tremendous edge, You need to adopt the system to your psychology and your mindset and your lifestyle. And if you're not successful with it then there are two or three mindset and psychology issues that you're dealing with... This update here is getting longer than I anticipated but I will continue here below
I'm going to provide you with the answer and how you solve your mindset or psychology issues there is no other way to do this this is the answer
You must journal like crazy. Before the market during the market during your trading after your trading
You must grade how you traded that day not how the system behaved but how you traded that day yes you should also grade the system but that's secondary
It is not about comparing yourself to me or to anybody else it is you against the market. The only comparison you should do is comparing yourself to yesterday and did you improve?
you should every single day have a number one thing that you are working on and you should grade that number one thing on how well you executed that
Alfa's I've said this in the den i'll repeat it here if you share your journal privately with me or in the 📒︱alpha-journals That's the closest you can get without engaging a one on one With me. Which is something I do I just don't advertise it I just wait for people to ask me.
Maybe what we'll do is we'll turn the Bravo channel into Bravo journals and then people that maybe for whatever reason aren't ready to get started with the system or maybe you can't afford it you share your journals there once or twice a week I can check in and provide insight to help you grow
I will freely admit that I have a blind spot on money management. For instance, I think the 1% risk is kind of BS, especially for day traders, it's a terrible misuse of capital.

Swing trading yes requires more money management rules, same with long term.

Day trading you have to decide how you employ your buying powder. How, when, and how aggressively. It's also a dance between capital and margin.

What should be clear is your system (and if you are using the RDTS) you should be in profit relatively quickly then the reaction zone you are trading is wrong.

So it's the next reaction zone and that zone is over, that was the reaction. Remember reactions don't fit a pattern-- they do but hear me out here...

Each reaction is a unique point in time in this universe, on the chart, and in time. So a reaction is a unique, while will match patterns it's it's own thing.

That's the #1 thing I'd ask you take away from what I'm sharing right now. A reaction can be one bar, multiple bars, seconds, minutes, etc.

That's once you get this and start trading it any system you trade becomes much more effective.

I'm doing something today that allows us to talk about something important in trading... you have to be constantly questioning and open to changing. It has to be intentional and also it can't be just done for the sake of it.

So today I'm trading as usual a few accounts. But I'm doing something to see if the way or the habit I have of managing taking profits and stop losses should be done differently.

Watching streams most notice I use trailing stop losses quite a bit. I think those work well for when you just want the trade to work out, give it room and protect you position. The downside is you never maximize your position, also sometimes you get knocked out before you want to be.

So on one account I'm doing the following:

Making my control chart c1 for all trade, and entering all positions and stops there
using fixed stops that I move as the trade unfolds

I knew this of course but this is reminding me that while both styles have their place, if you are actively in front of charts and managing them I'd say adopting the fixed is the best.

I'd be interested which stops do you use? Why or why don't use the other? Or do you use both?

done for the day. Hope everybody had a good trading day and week. Was resting and a bit worn out, but got out of my slump and said let's trade... so I did. Not bad...

PnL: 26,469

@alpha awesome trading this week, and great feedback and convos in the trade room. I know it's a grind and it take focus and hard work but stick to it. The progress is obvious and really great to see unfold. So keep it up, keep journaling and focusing on executing good trades.

For those not alphas, if interested in adopting the RDTS and making it your own, just right click on my username here, send a message and ask how to get started.

I'll be around a bit this weekend most likely looking at some crypto stuff. Also, with this pullback in the markets some additional TA is probably called for to see what clues the various markets are leaving for where they want to go from here.
