Hi everyone,
This is an exciting moment for Retium. Our official public testnet is now open.
The first phase is the Retium Wallet Testnet.
You can access the wallet here:
wallet.retium.org
Anyone can create a wallet and explore how it works. Members with the Cadet role or higher can also claim test $RTM through the faucet, which you will find at the bottom of the wallet.
Please note that faucet claims have now been reduced to:
5 RTM per day, with a maximum balance of 10 RTM.
For those who genuinely want to test the wallet and report any issues, please read the testing guide in the wallet-support channel.
When creating a support ticket, clearly explain what happened and provide as much detail as possible. This will help the team investigate the issue faster.
The amount of test RTM available is limited, so not everyone may be able to claim immediately. It is completely fine to send some test RTM to another community member who missed out.
Members who actively test the wallet, claim RTM and provide useful reports may eventually receive the Beta Tester role. Please do not ask when. One day, you may simply notice that it has been assigned to you.
Important reminder
This is a real blockchain testnet. The team may perform work in the background, restart services, update the network or temporarily shut down the chain for maintenance.
If the wallet suddenly stops working or your test funds disappear, check the official channels before spreading concern or fear. The team will do its best to keep everyone informed about planned updates, maintenance and network shutdowns.

Retium Testnet Update
Over the first week of the Wallet Testnet, we received a large amount of valuable feedback and identified a number of minor wallet issues.
The team has been working through these reports and implementing the required improvements and adjustments. Most of these changes have been relatively straightforward to introduce at the current stage of the network.
However, as some of you may have noticed over the last 24 hours, the chain has started rejecting or not responding correctly to some of the latest changes being introduced.
Depending on how the network continues to perform, we may need to restart the testnet after all current improvements, updates and protocol adjustments have been implemented.
We will continue monitoring the testnet closely over the next 24 hours and make a decision as we progress. Please keep in mind that, depending on network performance and the changes being implemented, access to some testnet services may be temporarily interrupted.
This is exactly what the testnet is for. We are identifying how the network behaves under real use, applying improvements and making sure the underlying infrastructure is stable before moving to the next stage.

Update on the current work status
Retium has been reset and the testnet is now running again from genesis. As a result, previous wallet balances have been wiped. You can claim testnet funds again, but for now, we recommend not using the testnet yet.
We still need to complete several checks before we can finalise this update.
Most likely, we will need to stop the network a few times tomorrow while testing continues, and there is still a possibility of another reset before we can officially confirm that the testnet is ready to use again.
Thank you for your patience.
