The PICO formula is a simple, effective framework to craft focused and answerable research questions in evidence-based medicine. Here's how it works:

🔹 P – Patient/Population/Problem 👥
Who or what is your study focused on? (e.g., adults with hypertension)

🔹 I – Intervention 💉
What treatment, exposure, or factor are you investigating? (e.g., a new medication)

🔹 C – Comparison ⚖
Is there a control or alternative to compare with? (e.g., placebo or standard treatment)

🔹 O – Outcome ➡
What result are you measuring? (e.g., reduced blood pressure, improved survival rates)

Example Question:
"In adults with hypertension (P), does a new medication (I) compared to standard treatment (C) lead to better blood pressure control (O)?"

يدعي باحث من الهند 🇮🇳 أن بيانات بحثه قد سرقت خلال تقديمها في مؤتمر EuroAsia 2022 📊 وتم استخدامها في ورقة بحثية نشرت في مجلة Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine. الجدير بالذكر ان المجلة مدرجة في PubMed ومعامل تأثيرها 1.5 (Q2) 😮

المجلة سحبت الورقة بعد نشرها وسجلت سبب السحب لوجود "أخطاء جسيمة في البيانات" مما جعل الباحث ينشر ورقة بحثية أخرى يطالب بذكر السبب الحقيقي.

A researcher in India 🇮🇳 claims his thesis data was stolen and used in a now-retracted paper published in the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine in October 2023. Research experience is critical, especially in competitive specialties. Here’s the trends in average research items (publications, presentations, etc.):

- Top specialties demand more research: Neurosurgery 🧠 (37.4 avg in 2024) and Dermatology (27.7) saw the largest increases since 2020.

- Most fields grew steadily: Plastic Surgery (+15.6), Orthopedic Surgery 🦴 (+9.5), and Interventional Radiology 🩻 (+5.5) all rose.

- Less competitive specialties still rising: Family Medicine (4.2) and Emergency Medicine 🚑 (5.7) show gradual growth.

Tips for applicants 💻
- Start research early and prioritize quality + quantity.
- Align your goals with your specialty’s trends (e.g., Neurosurgery needs 3x more research than Family Medicine).
- Collaborate with mentors.

بعد أن واجهت عالمة الأبحاث 'سومان جين' إحتمالية سحب ١٠ أبحاث منشورة بسبب وجود تلاعب في البيانات 😮، قامت جين بإلقاء اللوم على طلابها القائمين على تجارب المختبر كما أعترفت بإخفاقها في مراجعة نتائج الطلبة ولكنها ما زالت تنظر إلى ما حدث بإنه عمل غير أخلاقي وأناني من الطلبة 🤔
