- Peringatan serangan rantai pasok dan kompromi akun NPM:
Bayangkan kamu seorang pengembang yang menggunakan paket seperti chalk atau debug (disebutkan dalam postingan terkait) untuk proyek JavaScript-mu. Karena akun pengembang NPM-nya diretas, versi terbaru paket ini ternyata sudah mengandung malware. Misalnya, saat kamu menjalankan npm install chalk pada 8 September 2025, malware diam-diam terinstal di sistemmu tanpa kamu sadari, karena kamu menganggap paket ini aman berdasarkan reputasinya. Ini menunjukkan betapa rentannya ekosistem open-source ketika kredensial pengembang bocor.

- Malware mengganti alamat kripto dan menargetkan berbagai blockchain:
Contohnya, kamu ingin mengirim 0.1 ETH ke teman dengan alamat 0x1234...abcd. Saat kamu menyalin alamat itu dan menempelkannya di dompet lunak (software wallet) seperti MetaMask, malware menggantinya dengan alamat penyerang, misalnya 0x5678...wxyz, yang mirip secara visual. Ketika kamu menyetujui transaksi, dana justru masuk ke dompet penyerang. Laporan BleepingComputer menyebutkan serangan ini aktif sejak 26 Agustus 2025, memengaruhi transaksi BTC, ETH, SOL, dan lainnya, mirip dengan kasus Codecov yang pernah mencuri data sensitif perusahaan.

- Perlindungan dompet keras dengan verifikasi manual:
Misalnya, kamu menggunakan Ledger Nano S untuk transaksi. Saat ingin mengirim 0.1 ETH, Ledger menampilkan alamat tujuan (0x1234...abcd) di layar perangkatnya. Kamu memeriksa setiap karakter dan menekan tombol untuk menandatangani jika sesuai. Jika malware mengganti alamat di komputermu, kamu akan melihat ketidaksesuaian di Ledger dan membatalkan transaksi. Studi Blockaid 2024 mencontohkan bahwa pengguna Ledger yang teliti seperti ini terhindar dari kerugian, berbeda dengan pengguna dompet lunak yang langsung menyetujui tanpa verifikasi fisik.
